Crazy Joe's BAM V2 build

I was so impressed with the ride I took on Joe's personal V2 hull that I left him a deposit and asked him to build me a full carbon BAM hull. I currently ride a kitted out 13 SJ and feel that I have taken my riding progression as far as I can with it. I don't want to cut into the hull either. I spent most of the last year shopping hulls and going to meet builders and was never blown away till I met Joe and saw the quality that he puts into his builds. Anyways the hull is about 6 weeks out from being complete so there will not be many updates initially but I plan to document all of the build here. By doing this, I am hoping I can help others out that may be struggling with the many issues/questions that building a ski from the ground up inherently has. Those struggles are compounded by the fact that this is my first A/M build. Also, call me out when you see something that is not right. I am sure I will have tons of questions.

The goal of this build is to get it in the water and get it tuned before the Michigan riding season ends.

I am going to run an Engine Tech 967. The price is right and reliability seems to be good from what I have heard secondhand.

Here is a pic of Joe's personal V2 hull that I rode. Mine will be identical but we are going with a burnt orange color scheme.IMG952018120995145948861_01.jpg

Get race gas domes then use an 11/17 prop with that pump.

With 46mm carbs use 130 low jet and 125 high.

Zeeltronic ignition with an aggressive curve.

I was running that exact setup in my BAM until I went up to an 1100 motor with 155 pump

I was at Lowes getting fittings for the water ports on the heads and noticed they have 3/8 barb and 1/2 barb elbows. I bought all 3/8 cooling line and thru-hulls. Should I be running the 1/2 inch line and fittings or will 3/8 be enough?

Pipe came in yesterday. Thanks to @JetManiac for the quick shipping! I am still trying to figure out this 3/8 vs 1/2 water routing stuff. The pipe has both size fittings in the kit. Bottom of the manifold has 1/2 while the top and the pipe fittings are 3/8. Why?

I figured out what sizes I am going to use for my water lines. I am going to run 1/2" elbows in the pump and 1/2" hose to the thru-hull tubes. I confirmed with Joe that he put 1/2" lines in the hull. From the bulkhead forward will be 1/2" hose to a 1/2" strainer(2) then up to 1/2" elbows in the exhaust manifold upper and lower. All other fittings and lines will be 3/8" including my pissers. Anyone see a reason this wont work?
