My welding shop bought the 'mac daddy' one.. Its half the size of my shop, the cutting table is 20' x 30' it runs at 60,000 psi using 5 pumps to get it there. He's cut steel at "3 inches thick and has a top to bottom of cut of .0005 tenths of a thousandth! unreal to watch and very loud!

I'm pretty sure bob slept through the safety part of shop class. There is always blood on the ground around us. No time for safety must get to lake ASAP!!!:woot:

Anyone notice the boat wouldn't break free as easily when you were laying on the hood and wanted to whip it around? I love mine too, but it cuts real hard and won't break free as easily as a stock one.

I haven't noticed that, but have noticed I can't recover as well by steering to the opposite side to 'kick' the ski back under me, so that's probably the same effect.

I have noticed quite the opposite on my square. The rear slides easy but even with a light nose it carves and hooks up well. But Superjett and I have switched boats from time to time and although the bottoms are the same they handle completly different. It is hard to describe...............

I agree 100% on that. My 02rn handles way different than bonzia bobs 94sn. Same bottom and different handpole mounting be damned. They just feel different.:dunno:

this is a stock sxr ride plate, cut flush with the back of the ski. 3inch radius offset out 1inch with .200" rad on the corners. i used a hass cnc mill.
made the sxr worthy in the surf.

I just went from a jet dynamics plate to a worx 305. I believe was the 305 a freestyle plate anyway, and man what a difference. Still getting adjusted to it. What does the d-cut do for the handling? SORRY! I just read the rest of the thread, I guess I will be doing this to my jet dynamics and let her rip!

I have a stupid question. I have a 1994 Blaster, and I want to cut the stock plate. Do you make a radius and leave 1/2" on both sides of that first lip of the flat part where you are cutting the D ?
1/2" on both sides closest to the rear edge of the plate? And do you put the adjusters back on, or is it OK to just use bolts with washers instead of the adjusters, and tighten it flat?
