I don't know that the js300, js440, js550, hulls intake to the pump are the same as the mighty 300sx. I have been looking at eBay parts and even the internals on the electrical boxes vary from the js300 to the 300sx. Not 100% sure on this but it may be different........stupid kawasaki. Lol. Thanks for the link Dave. I remember putting on a nice scoop grate on my js550 back in the day. It's at the bottom of ipperewash beach somewhere. Worked good until it fell off. What are you ski plans this year Dave?

hahaha mighty 300sx .well i got the Brawler hull getting a carbon fiber hood for it and some special work to it from Zeon to be delivered at the DRR.
driving down to Florida in march so getting the brawler adjustable foot holds when I'm down there so Little glass work to do and turf before spring. may bring down my stock fly and get a lightened one from zero in Florida since I'm already driving down there.

motor wise the 760 is staying until it blows up i cant wait to try it in the brawler as it hit so well in the heavy ass superjet

ship it to border there is a ware house that my buddy uses and it cost something stupid like $5 to ship things there just past border. and its a legit place that just does that

I am getting close to thinking of just about wanting to consider the possible retirement of my superjet. Maybe if a xfs ninja shows up locally forsale I will get it. my hull was taking on water pretty good at the end of last season, not as bad as fellows' old ski but still. it sure would be nice to ride a new ski for a change. those brawlers are very nice riding hulls, I just want a hull I can bolt in my 155 setup without any modifications. we will see what happens.

It can be done on an existing brawler with a little work. If you pick uo a used one ill be glad to walk you through the process. If you order new we have an insert for the mold to make fitment a snap. We usually try to sell hulls with a shoe pre fitted.

yeah i talked to hockey not too long ago, i am not sure what he was doing with his pump shoe, he asked what i did with mine and how thin it gets when you open up the shoe to 155. be interesting to see wht his solution is.

Well when I fitted my 155 in a tunnel made for a 144 I burned through in a few spots. I also machined down the jd shoe considerably. The spots where I went through on the tunnel forced me to cut the tray open and add a few layers of carbon on the backside. I did the final bedding of the shoe with thickened epoxy with micro balloons. I cut a bondo spreader down to about 1.5" wide or 37mm for you metric guys. I tapered the edge of the shoe out into the tunnel and sanded smooth. It works.

I am all to familiar in how to put a 155 shoe into a 144 hull. Lol. That is why I would only consider buying a hull that is ready for the 155. Like a new brawler with the insert used on the mould. Or a ninja xfs. I just want plug and play if I am swapping hulls.

I think hockey has a bit of modding as your describing Brian. I would like to see the 155 pump shoe as well that are now on the market. I had to make mine.

well if anyone can fix it you can ! ,,, on mine when I snapped off the flywheel bolt we ruined the threads on the crank trying to drill out the hardened flywheel bolt ,, what a mess ,, was going to tack weld the flywheel on haha ... but ended up selling of both js 300s as a package as newer better projects came along ,, it was always a for sale buy anyways ,, sad part is those two js 300s were one vin tag number away of each tat was pretty cool .. there was a story to it I cant remember and they both came in on the deal with the scott Watkins ski ... think I mentioned that ,, anyways they are all gone ... cant wait to get out 1100 sxr out ! damn winter sucks !

I fixed up the Kawi starter with some Yamaha brushes and a good cleaning. It cranks the motor over considerably better but it did not fix the spark issue. Nor did the replacement cdi stop relay. Next is the coil that is in the mail. If that doesn't fix it the cdi controller is my next cheapest move. Crossing my fingers on it being the coil.

i have given up on the kawi motor, i have 2 of everything electrical and still get crappy spark that won't even make the motor fart. I bought a nice stock 701 62t motor to put in it. Complete with e-box, starter, and motor mounts. I just need a coupler and fab a mounting plate. That should run better, probably burn water but we will see. My motor is apart for some fresh crank seals and i need a new bendix.

Did you replace the battery cables on the 300? I've seen old ski's with the battery cables rotten 1/2 thru or cracked and give crap connections

Hey Scorn, I replaced the main battery to the box and check while cranking with a volt meter, it did not dip below 12 v so i figured all was good. Grounds seem fine everywhere I checked. I do have a crusty starter that i cleaned up and it turns over okay but it is creating some heat in the wire from drawing so much. It is such a bugger. I got a yamaha motor now so it should run fine. lol.

Going to refurbish the old 1996 RN SJ-F for my son this winter. It needs a little TLC.
