Damn really. another cylinder for angry people to attack people on

Does Dasa really thought? Don't they have availability problems similar to B pipes right now?

My thinking, if you are at stock displacement then you are competing with ported stock cylinders. Maybe you can get noticeably better performance from stock displacement with better porting, but it seems like a hard sell.

If your price point is similar to a ported stock cylinder, then it's a hard sell with stock displacement, but a no brainer if you get another 100cc's.

If your price point is similar to DASA, then why wouldn't somebody just buy a DASA? Especially if you are at stock displacement.

Please don't take it as negativity or criticism because I'm happy to see new stuff coming out, just offering some thoughts.
The potential of this cylinder over a stock cylinder is huge.
I have done a heap of porting and while you may be able to port the stock cylinder you will never get it near to this cylinder

That is a good point, to me opening up the cases is no big deal but it would prevent it from being a straight bolt on so that is probably a negative for a lot of people.
For those people? Just give it a fancy name with a big number next to it. They'll buy anything!

Wax, would this work with single carb 61x cases? For example I run an x motor with wet jet intake and 46mm carb. Cylinder is 718cc jetworks freeride ported. B pipe, msd enhancer, lightened flywheel, blah blah.

Could you explain power valves for dumbasses and if this cylinder belongs on a motor like mine

An exhaust valve (that works) gets you better response with a higher exhaust port. You have to try a Superstock ported cylinder to feel the difference between race and freestyle porting.

Ok the price point question is a good one. We as always are trying to bring the good stuff to the masses not to just the elite. my goal here is to make it a bolt on where you simply can not afford to not have it. You blow up your 701 and its to close in cost to rebuild than it is to get a performance cylinder. We want every one to have pone of these and if i cant make it affordable then Im not doing it

We all appreciate what you're doing very much! I know that it can be difficult to keep this affordable when there's tons of research and development and tooling for low volume runs of product for a niche product like this. I am SUPER excited to see this and it came at a perfect time, since I'm looking to get some more power out of my fixed steer round nose Superjet.

A few questions I have, sorry if they were asked before or if these sound dumb, but I'm new to powervalve engines.

-Can I use Wiseco or any other brand piston that would be meant for a Yamaha 701? (I plan on using 83mm pistons to get a 735cc displacement).

-How do these powervalves function? Obviously the Yamaha 701 was never set up with powervalves, unlike a Rotax engine with powervalves you'd find in a Sea Doo.

Again, we all appreciate your hard work and effort with this. You've got a customer here for sure, for at least one of these cylinders, maybe two. Please keep us updated on the developments.

Yes you can use wiseco pistons but why would you the cast ones are better. The power valves are lifted by the exhaust gas, when there is enough pressure it opens up the valves and increases the exhaust duration. It makes for smoother power and a wider power band.
Thanks for your support

I don't recognize the weird blue background, couldn't be SolidWorks; Inventor? I get curious when ever I see someone else's cad screen shot.

@waxhead are you making this cylinder iwht auxillery exhaust port or maybe a bridged exhaust port?
Will you make cylinders in diffrent strokes - or "only" one stroke and bore combination?
I like the idea of a cast cylinder :)
