Damn really. another cylinder for angry people to attack people on

Big horsepower numbers are easy to generate with a little more RPM. I know it gets people exited but those 7700 RPM dry pipe setups need a lot of help from race gas to get low end response and keep them from burning up. The pump gas, wet pipe crowd needs as much torque as possible while being able to run up to 7300 rpm.

Exactly

It's not going to have any more hp than a properly ported OEM cylinder with the same bore and CC. It's just another new, made in China, copy to attract the suckers that don't know better. Affordable power, it's coming.
How do you keep a sucker in suspense? I'll tell you all later

Powervalve engines are more about wide powerbands and usable power output than sheer HP numbers but they are clearly able to produce higher HP numbers without ridiculous porting that sacrifices bottom end power, it is the best of both worlds which is why it is widely used on every type of two stroke powersports engine.

Explain your reasoning behind this statement.

I'm looking forward to see how this project turns out. An 84mm cylinder that won't crack and has strong linear power with a good peak would be a great option for a rec and buoy ski.
My views, More to go wrong!!!!!!!!!! Got to clean them, Orings go bad sometimes, Bellows blow off, etc etc etc. My DASA 6mm Non PV (Billet) runs great. It is a good all around motor, ride flat water and surf. Not gonna be doing flat water backflips on it. But the power is like an electric train.

Good 61X Cylinders seem to be getting harder to come by these days.

Art dyno his et 967 and got 142 I think. 951 seadoo was a few higher . Seriously how much power do you think you are going to get out of a 701 or 760 cyl? It's useless if your looking for more than an oem 701 or 760 can get you. Why do you think jetworks , blowsion and groupK made big bore stuff? If it ain't bigger , it ain't doing nothing extra, no matter how you polish it

An aftermarket cylinder can overcome some of the stock cylinders shortcomings in transfer volume and design and exhaust. It's not nothing.
No it can't and that's the reason tpe made those bubble out transfers on the outside 4 corners, cause that's the only place you can change the transfer volume and design. The inside transfers are limited to crank, rod, piston spacing. And it's insignificant. Ocean pro vortex flame arrestor boast a 2 hp increase. I better get my neck brace out

Every modern two stroke cylinder has transfer ports making a full ring around the cylinder everywhere with minimal bridges, and triple exhaust ports. The stock superjet cylinder has big gaps between the main transfers and the boost ports, and you can't port a stock cylinder casting to take advantage of that little section of cylinder wall, and obviously you don't have triple exhaust ports. An after market cylinder can. I'm not sure it can without some work on the case to accommodate though.

I remember that old ad from TPE? Back in the day lol that specific line “affordable power, it’s coming”

That was never my tag. That was some "so called friends" wanting to get in on the action without putting out and work and labeling it that. It was misconstrued as to what that even meant. A 964 used the same pitch as a dasa 10mm 1000. At that comparison it was affordable, but that was never my statement.

That's why I referenced it. Just another lie that kept everybody dreaming about something that turned into crap. At least it was true about having power at 965 or 1105, unlike this 701 turd. Was going to be fairly affordable until the powers that be, refused to sell just top end kits, because they didn't think the buyers could finish the build properly.

Some people think 1100s are turds as well. Can you articulate what you want and what price you are willing to pay? You don't seem to have much faith in any proclamation of "affordable power" and I don't ether. Right now everyone is most content selling used parts at new prices.
