Hey, why is your stator sparking to ground? A good stator should have all the windings insulated. So saltwater or no saltwater, it shouldn't do that.

:dunno:

had it happen before though.....maybe there's a split somewhere in the wire...

one minute it was ripping, next minute sunk.....after that, no more sparkie....E box looked and felt dry thru the fuseport, but havent opened it up....

Water in the stator area sucks, even when the stator is working properly. I've fought that all season last year - corroded a couple bendixes to hell.

A little team ugly carnage.
This is what happens when you mess up a flip off the inner break.
Nothing a little duct tape couldn't fix for Monday.

well that puts my squarenose carnage to shame. Mine was from my first time riding the whole trip on wednesday, 2 minutes in I was riding down the face of the wave thinking I was looking so cool and the wave was going vertical and i gunned it and subbed straight to the bottom and hit, and went literally flying over the handlebars. Just a little bit of cracking, I'm not worried at all. I lost a pole stop though. Future reference, don't attach a hoodstrap to anything as crucial as a pole stop. Now the pole extends farther than its supposed to. Enough so that it rests really far forward instead of falling back down. Hey now I don't need the locking pin anymore!

Here is a little hull damage from day one. I could actually push the side of the ski in and see the foam in my hull.
Don't let your feet slip out of the foot holds on a roll. It drastically slows down rotation!
