I don't understand the logic behind "why" you think the cops should be involved in this case. That doesn't solve anything, worst idea ever.

Yeah, I would never get a cop involved or care about telling them. Guy really didn't do anything wrong in my mind, well it was for his saftey. I totally understood, from being down in hialeah quite a few times... no I wasn't buying drugs lol. But from seeing the parts of hialeah and all that jazz, I would also carry a gun if I lived down by there... :scared:

Just caught me off guard, I go to Miami about 10 times a year... depending on the deals. But for now on, I will be more prepared. You live and you learn, thats what they say!

I do and have, in self defense. Never point a gun unless you're prepared to fire it.

I see you've never been to jail and fully trust the legal system. IMO that trust is misplaced.

I do deals all over the country through the internet and EBAY and I have met all kinds of people at all kinds of places. I have never once thought about bringing a gun for protection. I guess I trust the good in people way too much. This thread has really got me thinking though... I have a CCW but rarely carry.

The deal was good. Whoever mentioned the fact that this guy invited you to his house to do the business was spot on...no drug dealer would do that. You got a title that is legit, you are covered there too. The guy had a gun- no big deal. You saw it when he stretched...therefore it was concealed originally. No law against carrying a gun concealed or even open on your private property or place of business. He could have strapped that thing to his hip for all intents and purposes. Don't ever go to AZ if that freaked you out- lol...I went into a WalMart last year out there and there were people walking around with guns and cowboy hats on all over the place...it had been a decade since I'd been out there and forgot the law allows that out there...talk about wild west!

Here's my deal. I will probably take someone with a knife or gun seriously, but that doesn't guarantee that I'm not going to just let them have their way. If you pull a knife or gun on me, decent chance I'm might just get that much more pissed & you're just going to hurt that much more. Hypodermic needles on the other hand.... You can have my wallet (empty anyway), phone, car, whatever. No way in hell I'll chance someone with a needle who has god know what in it. A friend of mine was robbed with a needle in D.C. & the guy threatened infecting him with HIV... Scary .

I've been VERY seriously discussing having my wife get a gun. She works late nights, usually the last to leave. Yeah, it's Downtown Naples and all, but like he said, people get desperate.
