It depends on the seller. I sell a lot of stuff on here and try to be as descriptive as possible. Most of my previous buyers would probably agree my descriptions are accurate. Yes some parts are nicer than others but I do my best to make sure that is noted when selling.
I have made a few mistakes, or sent something out quick without giving it a good look over. As long as the buyer can show me picture proof a part is defective/faulty/damaged/etc. I just refund them 100% immediately.
I actually had it happen with TBM flywheel. It had a hairline crack which I missed upon removal. The buyer showed it to me and I refunded his money.
Sucks when you buy from a snake though.

I don't get how hard it is. I have had only one bad run in on the x with a set of cases. Took a month longer than was suppose to. But in the end he made the deal right. Every other transaction has been flawless

I don't think ppl use the seller neg/pos feedback as much as they need, as with buying an a/m hull that they weren't quite happy with or something was wrong with wait 6 months after a handful of guys have bought one and had issues,

Same here, i have made tons of buys and sales on this site including AM hulls. Everything has been good except for one on a motor that i bought that was supposed to be perfect and ready to go. Like i said the thing that sucks the most is it was with a guy local to me( But the ad was on this site and thats how i contacted him). It was partially my own fault as i should have done a way better inspection before i picked it up from him. But like i said i thought he was trustworthy being local and the motor had a couple big names from this site attached to it. Once i had it inspected by a reputable builder and let him know of the problems he basically told me if he knew it had these problems that he never would have sold it to me, but basically tuff shiit he wouldnt make it right.

Scared to write negative feedback in fear that the seller will just continue to screw you over in spite. In my bad experience, threatening negative feedback pissed the seller off and still didn't get me anything. He had previously told me he would make it right because he had a perfect record and didn't want anything bad to his name... So I went back to being nice. That didn't work either, so negative feedback posted eventually.

What I don't think is rite or fair is when people write a negative post about some 1 and a situation. Then go back and change it when things get made rite or better. The negative feedback is there to help other potential buyers is not there to help you get things made rite.
Here is the solution, pay with PayPal, no parts or not as described, you have a 45 day window to make your claim. Speak within that window or forever hold your peace....
Yes, there are plenty of guys out there who don't care, there are also lots of guys out there with low standards, so a "mint" part to them might not be the same "mint" part to you...

Well, if ya pay PayPal and you can't receive a product for 2-3 or more months... That wouldnt help.. but my situation is ...what it is, I'm not the original buyer. Product was "posted as ...all that it was implied to be,with pics and statements" by the one who is not "wanting to be exposed".
When one buys a 4700$ motor, you think they might just mention that"ah.. the cases were WELDED UP! And the epoxy that is on outside is to seal an air leak?". But it was rtr ... ... And now he wants to neg feed on me, bc I caught his lie??

Why are you even asking can you say his name. That would have been the 1st thing I would have done.
Don't process full payment up front, you have to protect yourself, don't get boxed into a corner by paying full price up front and letting the time expire for you to file a claim.
This is not an "X members" issue with your comment of "great people on here", there are some slim bags floating around, if you pay attention to the discussions its pretty easy to figure out who is who...
