deep water side start

Ski runs like a beast out of the hole. It practically jumps out of the water. The ski is not the issue. It's definitely me.

mine ran like crap today because i just rode it for the first time of the year and forgot to change plugs. I was still able to side mount it about 30 times with no issue and it barely got on plane while dragging me. i guess you just need more practice. cutting the hump out of the seat and wider bars were a big help for me when i switched them.

Finally got it figured out. You guys were right. Once you nail it once it comes real natural. I side mounted a dozen times today with no issues whatsoever. It seems so easy now.

Make sure you bend your arms slightly and prepare for some serious pulling on your shoulders when you side mount. If you'd had any shoulder injuries before trying this, be careful. Other than that, it's the best way to mount the ski in deep water once you're used to it.

A smaller seat is key to make rear or side boarding so much easier. Also pull trim if your running one when side mounting and ski buries so much deeper that basically the rear deck comes under your feet.
