DEKA EXT9 how many guys are running these?

I run it and love it. Charge with battery tender/trickle charger. the terminals are easy. They're threaded blocks and you can either run the battery in the traditional upright posn or flat on it's back (I do it this way) and the posts are threaded for either application.

love this battery, I would not buy it online but rather a local battery shop. I got an extra year warranty from my local shop for 65 dollars.

If you have water intrusion issues, you had better plan on bringing 2 with you to ride. I am using the etx12's it gives you a little extra breathing room if you swallow a lil water.

Mine are not DEKA but, they are Yausa etx9. Same amps, size, and such. I have one in two of standups. SXR 800 with 175 psi, and My Envy with a Xscream Stroker. I have never had any issues, been running the one on the stroker now for 3yrs. I love the lightness as well.

Oh forgot to add charging system on both skis. During the riding months I don't ever put on a charger or tender. In the off season I bring them in to the garage where it stays in the 60's and charge once a month, and check the voltage with my meter to maintain.

make sure you use a charger that is a battery tender or switches to milli amps once it's charged...even trickle chargers can overcharge a battery with continuous 1 amp charge.

Use mine with total loss. I use a quick connect to make it easy to switch batteries but one always lasts most of the day of riding. I charge it with a battery tender plus. They have lasted two years and going strong.

$65!?! That is all mine cost new! It's two years old now, never been on a charger, and still cranks like new.
That is what i was thinking (except prices have been creeping up).
I run these in surf and flatwater skis without problems. It is just smart to have a backup battery with you no matter which battery or electrical system you use.
I run mine with TL and it performs great. I keep a backup yuasa and it performs equally as well. It's the same specs, size and weight of my deka. I paid $19 (plus $12 S&H) last winter and it's been a steal for how it's held up, but for $65 through bohannon.battery the deka's been worth every penny too.

Just got mine this past year and love it... no problems yet.
came across this Deka analog. Looks to be the same battery spec wise and a few dollars cheaper than Bohannon Battery.
