You know.....your For Sale post was pretty clear.
Here's what it said before you edited it today:

Nice Dual 44 Intake with matched 44 Mikuni SBN aft mkt carbs. All freshwater stuff. Jetted for a ported 650 with protec pipe. $200 shipped

After the edit (today!):

Nice Dual 44 Intake with matched 44 Mikuni SBN aft mkt carbs. All freshwater stuff. Jetted for a ported 650 with protec pipe. $200 +ship

And a couple minutes after that edit, you made sure to put 200+ ship into the title, as well.

Fail.

With that ad, you absolutely owe him that intake on your dollar.

Just like I said, two sides to every pancake and busted.......... Ship him the intake and ask for forgiveness.

Go outside and practice falling down.

Just out of curiosity, where did you ship the parts too? Dont need the exact address, just the city and state. I just want to make sure its not a certain person who likes to pull scams on sellers.

Hes a NH resident, we sorted it out finally. I made the mistake of fixing a post that I missposted to cover my ass. He saw it before I did and felt entitled to the part regardless of needing it or not I guess. An error on both ends I guess. Just sucks to have a deal worked and then someone go back on it and expect more.

sorry bro thats an error on YOUR side....just because he didnt "need" it doesnt mean he screwed up...

you should NOT have edited to cover your ass....

I was talking about a guy that was scamming people on PWCToday by using multiple user names. This story sounded exactly like several others I've heard about that guy. He's a Diggler wannabe but a little worse.

With regards to this story, I think you guys are being a little harsh on the seller. He spoke with the buyer on the phone, and they came to an agreement. Sounds like just a little miscommunication, and he offered to make it right anyway.

People are being harsh because of the creative post editing by the OP.
And FWIW, this is exactly why PWCT doesn't allow editing anymore.

no, it's still that - but plenty of sellers have complained that they cannot edit their OP's after they sold items.

Well - here's a good illustration of why that rule exists. I'm not advocating it here because we have great sellers and generally don't have the growing population of bad sellers that PWCToday, which is considerably bigger, has.
And I think that in this case, the seller probably didn't mean to be malicious.

The editing thing is a good and bad thing. Sometimes I like to check going rates for certain parts, and sellers will edit the price to SOLD, so the orignal info is lost. You also get cases where people will change wht they said.

Youi're right though Matt, not so many douchebag sellers here. Maybe its because you actually moderate the for sale section. PWCToday is just a free for all, and when somebody is found to be a scammer nothing is done about it.

Actually: The for sale forum is probably one of the least moderated places on here. I think the reasons for our better seller base are varied, but basically:
- a far smaller community with a tighter interest (instead of having lots of different folks selling standup parts, then another group selling 2-stroke sitdown parts, then another group selling 4-stroke sitdown parts, and so on)
- people for the most part actually know each other, or know someone that knows the seller.
- the smaller community makes it much harder for actual scammers to rinse & repeat their practices.
