Got it.

If you want to be a real redneck then try this:

Get some thin strands of copper wire about 2" long and put about 8~12 strands down into the hole. The more the better actually, as long as you can thread the bolt in. Leaving the ends of the copper wire hanging out of the hole, thread the bolt in past the coper wire, which is soft; into the hole. It should get tight. The coper wire should crush and conform into the hole; as long as the copper can grab the walls of the cylinder then you should be able to torque it down.

Are you using girdled heads for the GP800 cyls? Not sure if thats even possible... but if you are using girdled heads then you may not need to use the factory head bolts. Maybe this isn't the greatest of options or a valid suggestion but its worth doing a little research. I for one always use both - head bolts and the head girdled bolts in a 701, but somewhere I've seen folks forgo the head bolts and just run with girdled bolts alone.
That is some really bad advice.

Eeek. I remember my Dad fixing loose door hinge screws like this. He'd stick toothpicks and wood glue in the holes and then turn the screw in. Ok for a door, not ok for an expensive toy.

Here is my gp motor with girdled heads.
I didnt have to weld on this one.
Have you looked around to see who does these motors. I belive group k does the big bore setups. Mine is a 927 from wdk. And I am almost sure group k sells the replacement pistons.

I ended up having a different machine shop buddy map out holes with a CNC and moved up to a 10x1.25mm thread
I also have a 1100 WDK (89mm pistons with a 5 mil stroke) And they run like they’re angry haha

Got the motor taken to a buddy and he mapped the holes out with a CNC to fix the damage, and moved my threads to a m10x1.25.

A few hundred later and were back in business!
Thanks for the ideas guys

Awesome!!!!
Any pics of the repair process? Or end result?

What are you running for ignition?
Motor is running great so far, just need to fix the prop and a starter Relay issue

I’m running a total loss ignition with a non charging flywheel that’s been shaved further by Zero

The MSD seems to make a MASSIVE difference with these gp800 motors
Well that and finding parts lol

I’ll nab a picure for you later, my bay isn’t NEARLY as clean as yours sadly but the EME has almost zero room to fit anything
I have to remove my flywheel cover to even pull my tank

Lol, I tried to fit a slightly larger tank, but I had to remove my engine to get it to fit... thought that might be a bit much.

You're running msd? What is it? I am looking at zeel.... but Jeff Curry is telking me to buy his ignition. Idk.

I’m running just a total loss and I’d be more than happy to shoot you a picture of the dipswitch setup for the WDK motors if you’d like, seems like everyone tries to hide their “secret” tune

Personally I think the MSD makes the biggest Difference with the gp800 setup, the bottom/mid punch is night and day dude, worth it for the extra hassle

I know Jeff from WDK was offering a buddy of mine to send him in his stock ignition and have it custom mapped for the WDK setup, for around the same price as an MSD. He says it hits much harder though becuase he had the curve mapped out, just haven’t gotten to send one in yet to try it.

Is MSD even still making it for the gp800 based motors? If so what's the part number.
It’s just a total loss setup with the dip switches and non-charging flywheel, let me look up a part number, they can go on any motor just depends how you tune them.
They’re a pain to get wired up and tuned in but I’d be happy to help you if you decided to go that way
They’re just expensive

Here is the number from blowsions site (01-04-151) don’t buy it from them, their price is crazy high like always.
I’d buy one used if I were you, my buddy has like 5 of them laying around from over the years so I’m sure they aren’t hard to find

Didn't someone make a conversion plate to be able to run 62T stuff in the GP800? I have X-Scream in my head but it may have been WDK.?.?.?

I thought they were hard to come by since the gp800 runs a stator and flywheel similar to the 760. Not the 62t style

You’re right I’m sorry, I was just looking at the parts online and the flywheel and stator plate for the gp800 total loss is different
You’d have to get the plate/wheel for either a gp800 or a gp1200, but they’re relatively simple to have made (if you can’t get one) and just have normal msd triggers on them
The flywheel would be the hardest to find

Maybe you are better off looking into the other ignition lol I forgot how hard it was to find the parts to begin with
