If I read all your posts right you would like to try TL again, but don't want to lose your ass when you sell your blaster correct?

Buy another, install, and just put stock one back in when you sell..then you can toss it into your next ski.

From what i have read here TL is well worth it and yours just wasn't dialed in correctly, so I'd say give it another shot and transfer it from ski to ski to avoid losing money.

Yeah, or what I could do is offer it for sale either way, with TL or without TL, and price it accordingly.

This wouldn't be I guess as much of an issue, except I'm building another surf blaster and am planning on dropping in a WDK 927 powervalve motor in it, then keeping the ski for myself (which is what I originally planned with my blue blaster I'm dealing with now).
In other words, if I was keeping it for the long-haul, I'd have no problem buying the new TL system and losing some money years down the line (which is expected). But having close to $8K in the ski, riding it for 3-4 months, then selling it for $6K isn't appealing, especially since I'm building another ski close to $9K. Add to that fact the possibility of it not working correctly (such as I'm dealing with now) and dumping more $$$ in it,,,,,,,I just have to do this correctly THIS TIME.
So, I'm glad for all the info I'm getting in this thread.

Seats,

use weatherpacks and solder all the wires into the connectors
use di grease on all the lil green seals on the wire end of connectors and in connectors themselves
use di grease between brain and backing plate that covers the dip switches
use a sea doo starter solenoid
after u r done riding for the day, open hood and alow to air dry and spray system down w/wd40 or equivelent

Yea, those guns are nice. I used to have one. And then I lent it out and it brokes mysteriously.... hmmm

Half my ski build was me rolling the dice. I'm used to that. I make a logical conclusion and stick to my guns... lol

So have you got that epic to test with your rad yet?

here is a quote about the advent and the rad.The advent was a total loss type cdi and the epic seems to work with the lighting coil so I assume its a good bit diff. but this horse has been beatin before.............

Ok i ran the new Advent last weekend it it did work just like it should..
Last week when i was talking to Greg he said this new advent should/might work with the rad flywheel. it was the type of magnets used by rad not the timing.. he was going to get a rad flywheel and test it !!

LMAO...he told me the same thing in 2002/2003. I sent him parts to use as did Art from Jetworks. I believe Art even supplied a ski as Greg said he had no access to one. The Advent didn't use to work with the 61x ignition, you had to use the newer ignition. The ski was to be used mainly to make the changes for the old style ignition, not only the Rad. They (Greg) had no idea of the timing difference, and couldn't find it, even supposedly asking Hedlund. I supplied the info, which is 7degrees. Greg said he could reprogram the ignition with this info, at that time he just couldn't get it figured out. Maybe things have changed, but after reading the above statement, I have my doubts. At that time, Greg had no idea how to make programming changes to the units, and was going thru changes with techs for the system. He wouldn't answer calls, or return them for that matter. After over a year, I finally got a refund. He must really be getting hungry if he actually made a trip anywhere to test a machine.
