Do Reeds help Performance

I have been running the same Carbon Tech reeds that I got used from Tricky since 2004.

I dont get how they could possibly leak any more (or close as much) as the boyesen reeds....

its not the pedals that leak its the cage because of the way it all screw's together

and until you get symptoms of an air leak youd never even look at them either

but id recommend if your taking your intake apart for any reason, pull out the reed cages and check the screws are tight that hold the cages together

me and junkyard found that fault on my 701 motor, everything looked good, pulled out the cages and one of the assemblies had come loose... just one of those things.. maybe loctite would help but its a screw going into plastic

I assembled them without but am feeling a little paranoid. Any thoughts?

See above. I have over 6 years on mine. Never removed or anything.

That is good service out of those. Did you use loctite on the screws?
