do you like trucks?

I'd have 3 if I could find them for that price! A 99 Cummins goes for at least double that around here, possibly triple!

For sure, in the south the beds and body don't rot so they bring solid money. Here in NC you can never find a 24V like this under $10k, I'd say that's what this one is worth, just because it was my buddy's work truck for 10 years and the body has lots of scratches and dents. Only 180k on the clock though, my 07 has 352k so I ain't scared!

I had a 03 dodge cummins 2500. Paid 10k for it, had 240k miles, had the 6 speed trans, HO motor. Ran and shift great, but wish I had looked it over better before I bought it. Had to buy a tons of parts for it, ball joints, hubs, rotors/pad, clutch etc etc. $3k later in parts, and I get a pretty good discount on parts. I tested the injectors and they were about ready to be replaced, didn't want to spend another 2k+ on the truck, so I sold it for 15k.
I loved the truck for towing, but didn't really like it for a daily.

Averaged 15mpg

After that I went to a 08 GMC 5.3 SLT 100k miles, paid $13k. I've owned 5 different truck now (I'm 25) and this has been by far my favorite.

Average 18mpg.

Bought another Cummins, a 99 2500 4x4. Buddy of mine was buying a new truck and said I could have this one for $5000 so I jumped on it! Had two 99's in the past so I knew about lift pump issues and whatnot, replaced all that stuff a couple weeks ago, and went to the Carolina Beach Freeride last weekend with her! Awesome truck except you have to shut her down at the drive through to order :)

Man, I wish I could find a deal like that out here. Take a look, is this truck similar?

I am looking at the gmc and chevy 5.3 and best deal I have found so far is a 2007 with 110k for 22k...
Thats crazy. I bought my 98 when it was 8yrs old, with 74,000 miles original owner, for $10k. Truck prices are out of this world these days, no idea how people afford them new. Oh and my 98 with the 5.7L will do 22mpg when its flat freeways without slowing down or speeding up =D
