do you like trucks?

Ram mega cabs are spacy. I'm 6'2 and require more leg room too and I have tons of room in my 08 mega. Plus with the seat all the way back there's still a ton of room for passengers in the back seat. If you don't require a long box definitely take one for a test drive. I wish mine had a long box (there are some companies that will cut the frame to add it) but damn that would be a lot of truck.

This thread makes me miss my trucks... I'm in the market for a nice Southern K5, so hopefully I'll have a new one this summer!

You don't get a truck for gas mileage, but I get your point. Every little bit helps. I'm getting 12 city and averaged a little over 15 on the highway for 250 miles in one shot. That's in 10 degrees or lower temperatures tho. Probably was a little lower then 12 city cuz it's been so cold I've gotta warm up my truck for a few minutes in the morning.

i agree im not after 45mpg, but the z71 i drove to daytona heavily loaded down still got 17 average
and i get 18-20 avg in my f250 4wd. i consider that very good for what they are.

i got 18 on the highway/driving around in daytona all week/city with the ski on the hitch hauler (slight drag) in my cummins. highway speeds of 80-85mph. if i did 65mph, it probably would have been 20-21. tundras are great trucks mcdog, but as stated, dont look for anythign over 13mpg

First two are of my 08' 1500 Ram. Second pic was the day I sold it. Had it leveled on 305/55/R20's with a superchips tuner and exhuast.

Sold that last year to get out of a payment and save money. While the little truck is enough most of the time, I hate it when it's not. I drive a beater car to work ~18,000 miles a year and the truck gets maybe 5,000 at best per year. I've been thinking supercrew ford diesel for the next truck. Hopefully in a year or so I can get back into a fullsize again.

The most recent truck is an 04 dakota with the 4.7 v8. Feels really underpowered after leaving the hemi but it does the job. 3 inch AAL in rear and front torsion bars jacked 1.5. Riding on 265/75/R16 Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac's. Gas mileage is only around 16 highway loaded so it really doesn't do much better than the gas fullsize trucks.photo_1.JPGphoto_2 (1).JPGphoto_3 (6).JPGphoto_4 (1).JPG

That was me. That 1/4 time is nuts...just a drag truck but still crazy none the less. After I bought my cummins I poked around on the web looking at the conversions guys were doing with the long mega's...it would be sooo sweet to have all that room but I can only imagine a bitch in traffic and trying to park.

Man I guess...that sounds ridiculous. Can't imagine having the equivalent of my mortgage in my daily driver.
