Meanwhile, in my world:

Visit supermarket-branded service station co-located with Costco (so they price match).

Fill up car that's had the fuel warning light on for last 3 days. Also fill 5 gallon container in car.

Scour shop in service station looking for discounted items on which to spend $5 which will give me a 4 cent a litre discount.

Pay at counter using 4 cent a litre discount coupon retrieved from another shopper's trolley as I don't actually shop at this supermarket chain.

Drive off surrounded by a aura of smugness knowing I've just saved $15 by not buying at the service station just down the road.

Bust your ass for 30+ years, you have to earn the perks. ;)

I'm sure I can get that truck down to single digits pulling if you go to sleep in the back seat. LOL!

I could get the overhead display to bottom out in the 5.4 MPG range on my Cummins dually. And I didn't even have to be pulling anything other than RPM's. :)

I have data to prove that my V10 was actually more economical to drive than my Cummins.

I think it was the 12" drop hitch adding drag myself....

2" ball, 1" shank rated for 6,000 lbs. Goosenecks rated for 30,000 lbs. are 2 5/16. Kind of a silly question, what can you even tow with a 2" ball, if you have towed before. 2 place couch trailers rated for 3,000 lbs. sometimes have 1 7/8" ball.
That dual axle semi, with the 40 foot stock trailer next to you, doing 80? 2 5/16 ball. Only contact point between rig and trailer.

Been done working for more than 30. I'm gonna close up shop, file for bankruptcy, and go on welfare. Free everything for me!!!!! Who wants an Iphone and some new Jordans.....

Its not silly, it was a genuine question.

My bad. I do that stuff for a living, so, to me it was silly. Like whatever you do is common to you. We good?
The implication was that big beefy truck + 2” hitch on a huge drop and cheap drop hitch... cant haul much. Most streetable trailers we have on the farm with any significant weight rating are all 2 5/16” or GN couplers. Gen-Y is the only company ive seen making more than 1k/10k hitches greater than 10” drop on a 2” receiver. I welcome someone showing me differently though, I’ve got my eye on a 12.5” drop 16k Gen-Y

^^^I like the Gen Y stuff for sure. I did just switch from a DT on my dually to an 8" drop Best Way rated at 8000 on the 2" and I believe 14500 on the 2 5/16 with a 2 1/2" shank. Might be an option to look at.

That would be a 2 1/4 shank, but whatever. I just hope you guys know what the receiver is rated for.

....and you said 2" ball, not class III, 2" receiver.

It is a 2012 F 350 that accepts a 2 1/2" shank hitch in the receiver, 2017 went to 3". I am not aware of a 2 1/4" but I am aware of what is on my truck and the ratings. Thanks for the insight though.

My truck only has a 2” receiver, so im very limited. The beefiest bumper receiver I can get is a Curt that has 2400lb tongue weight rating and 16k GTW rating on a 2” receiver. Thank you for the recommendation
