I glassed in aluminum and drilled/tapped it for the pump when I refoamed my q8. Those cheesy conversion plates made pump alignment a nightmare. Plus they allowed the pump to flex which broke the ears off my wear ring twice.

Well I talked to EME this morning and they said on the newer micros the coupler have to be machined down, the centers bored out, and a hole cut through the coupler bumper. So I did that and it fits now. Just need some superjet motor mounts as the couch mounts are too high .

Sorry for not getting on sooner but yes SJ mounts, Couch mounts are too tall.
Both my Q8's have aluminum plates bolted down to the stock Kawi mount holes, then the yamaha motor mounts bolted to the aluminum. So maybe they did something different with yours. Both mine are Yama engines with Kawi pumps though.

Eme did my couplers, You have to machine a little off both sides to make it work.

@EvanKrefski i ended up taking 3/8" off each to fit, had to do this on a 300sx 650 conversion a few years back. Hack saw, dremel and some filing worked extremely well lol.

Well my eme micro quit today on its maiden voyage. The mid shaft conversion peice literally sheared in half. If I didn't have a bilge it would've went under. They are going to send a new beefier one which rocks. Have no clue how it happened. Maybe vibration? The only vibration. I could think of is from a unbalanced crank or unbalanced flywheel. The flywheel is a @#ZERO but I would assume he balanced it although there are no balancing marks. Either way vibration didn't seem much more than a regular superjet.

Anybody on here running a 155 Kawi pump? Trying to figure out trim. I know Kawi 155 pumps convert to yamaha nozzles, but I have a 155 Yamaha system and the spacing on the bolts holes is 7 1/4, my pump is 6 7/8, which is a 144 nozzle. That just seems weird to me. Anybody shed some light on this that has a 155 kawi pump. Thanks.

Hey guys, I owned an EME sky and many other short hulls but I took some time off and stopped riding for while. I have my mind set on either a Micro or an Aerial 8. They seem to be similar to me in riding and performance; however I would like to know a detailed comparison between both hulls to help me decide which one to buy. The engine of choice is a 1000cc with 155mm pump. Things I need to focus on are Handling, tricks execution and flat water performance. Your feedback will be highly appreciated.
