Engine problem XS 865

I am riding and don't have power and some times it's like going over a rock,looks like it's a Timing problem,

I removed the fly wheel, every thing is in good shape ,the key is not broken,

I take the compression,the gage is weird ,it does not hold the pressure ,it reads 180 and then150 psi

is it possible that the reed valve need to be replace

A compression tester isn't a leak down gauge, if the compression bleeds off the gauge valves are faulty, and I don't understand "like going over a rock?)

It was like a miss fire and a big noise coming from the engine

could be crank bearing going bad it would throw off timing

I can not say back fire,I was with a very good mechanic when it happens and he was sure the key was broken , so the next day I removed the fly wheel cover and the fly Wheel ,every thing was in perfect shape, the key was not broken,

then I took the compression and the reading on the gage was weird, going to 180 and then 150 psi,

the power valve are clean, clean every 4 hours

YEs the ski starts and I was able to start it after my ride, to flush the water , No problem
