Just for s**ts and giggles, would this silicone work? Got some spare laying around the house. It even says water ready in 3 hours! Haha

Water ready means a cup spilled on it. Not a 100 hp jet pump. It'll probably work and if not then at least it'll be easy to clean. In my opinion, It's a waste of time to pull your pump that many times. Just find an odd job (for $$) to do with that time to offset your overnight shipping. Not worth the frustration half assing it.

So I pulled the pump and the driveshaft splines look good. However the pump seal is nowhere to be found! Yikes..
Your splines look rounded off some, not bad by itself, but most likely the internal splines are rounded out also. This is causing your prop to not spin with a load on it. Been there done that. I got 45 minutes once on a brand new OEM Drive Shaft and Intermediate shaft. Just light up $400.00 and throw them in the fire. Motor was out of alignment.

Is there a quick way to test the alignment? I have a feeling my midshaft splines are stripped so I'm not gonna put all my hope on a new pump seal.

Thanks

If my midshaft is truly rounded out, wouldn't that mean the impeller won't spin any faster than it does in idle? I would also expect more wear on my driveshaft. Reason I ask is because if give it throttle the prop spits a ton of water (10x more than when idling) which leads me to believe the driveshaft spins in proportion to engine speed.

at low rpm your prop could still spin. but once you started trying to go faster this is when the splines would start to slip. or you have a pump sealing issue. Does motor rev up hard out of the water, is the prop spinning WOT also. problem is, its not safe to look in the nozzle to really see what prop is doing.

Sounds like you need to skip the expediting shipping and silicone for a full inspection with a complete repair list. Half assing the repair leads to less ride time and more cost than just fixing what is broken. Learned that the hard way of years of trying rush to ride and ending up on the end of a tow rope instead.

Yup...you need to yank that engine and midshaft out and do some inspecting. What is the story behind the ski? Might be a good idea to go through it thoroughly so you don't have to fix poop down the road.

Pull your driveline out of the ski and figure out whats going on. I stripped a shaft once. It cost me about $600 bucks to replace everything it took out. Pretty sure the motor mount that peeled off without trying was the culprit. It did teach me how to replace a bunch of bearings though!

Before you do that check coupler alignment at the midshaft.

Hope you figure it out before it takes out all you're sh*t. It does suck.

I ordered a few parts to replace including the pump seal. Yesterday I temporarily sealed it with 5200 so today I'll find out if that was the culprit. I'm learning a bunch as I go and doing things myself but hey.. It beats paying triple at the shop.

3m 5200 is not a temporary bonding solution as far as I know... That's gonna be tough to clean up for reassembly.

Well we'll see. Seemed like a popular choice among others so I figured I'd give it a whirl. And it doesn't help that I'm getting crazy impatient lol I just want to get some ride time in and haven't had the pleasure since I bought it so I'll put up with a tough removal if it puts me on the water today. But either way I'll be replacing everything that needs new parts and redoing my hillbilly hacks with a proper fix for the long haul.
