Engine Size + Hull Recommendation for a 6'4" 225lb male??

Lol. I've owned 6 dif aftermarket skis. And currently own 3 am skis. And 6 others.

I offer the unpopular opinion. Lots of people ride jet skis because of me getting them into them. Lots

I'm not your brother

Clearly I'm in the top 3. Cause I can ride a short am hull as a rec ski also

Pretty wild my.opinion I have. Even tho I have 3 am hulls. Sjs. Blasters. 650sx. Rzr. 12 valve that would pull christ off the cross. 22re. Lbz. 3rzTurn my own bores. Build my own engines. Do my own glass work. Am a certified ase master technician. Yeh. Smog. Well versed in g and m code. Multiple weld certs. And maintain and manage a crew/fleet of machinery and laborers. What would I know about the world of engines. Powersports. And how far money can go

I mean. It's very obvious I'm seeking all of you guys acceptance. That I care about what you think of me and I desperately want to be friends with you all. I mean such a talented group of individuals with a propensity for expansive knowledge. why wouldn't I lie about my capabilities? Please like me!!!!

I have an xscream 900,dasa 950,dasa 1100 and a dasa 1200 all instock. Also have 3 different hulls to choose from based on your size and weight. Do yourself a favor and ride EVERY ski you can around you. If you can't fly somewhere and try them. I can put you on a handful of different hulls with different powerplants. I think you'll quickly find out you probably need alot less power or different hull than what your aiming for.

This is going to be your first stand up ski? You never owned one before and you want to get an AF hull and engine? Good luck with that.

Just get a Stock Ski and go from there. The amount of guys I've seen buy 20k skis to back flip, yet they can't even ride a buoy course without falling! You know who you are.

If I had tried to get on a 1000+ cc freestyle ski when I first started riding 13 years ago, I woulda killed myself. I started with a 550 to learn on and rode that for several years. Spent a few years learning to modify and make it faster, and handle better. That ski taught me soo much about 2 stroke engines both tuning and how to rebuild one. Also got my feet wet I doing fiberglass work. I'd highly recommend doing the same so that you can really learn both how to modify and repair your own ski. Otherwise, unless you have very deep pockets, stand up jetskis get very expensive very quickly. Especially when you have to pay someone to work on your ski for you. To me, part of the sport is modifying your stuff. I enjoy that sometimes as much as riding. If you go and immediately try to get a flip ski with no stand up riding experience, you're setting yourself for a very expensive failure..

I did get me a rn sj, rode it for 30mins, bought me a full carbon flatwater ski with decent amount of motor and pump, sold the sj right after.
I cant ride like poop yet, but it so much more fun to learn on that then the sj

Just my opinion, just don't get a hull that is so tiny that you can't ride it. You'll get used to the power in no time, but if your balance sucks, a tiny freestyle hull wont be fun for awhile. Send it on the engine, get as big as you can afford, especially if someone is just going to set it up for you. Not everyone has time, or wants to wrench.
You aren't going to kill yourself on it, like you would if you started jumping triples on a top level 450mx bike or something with no experience. Equipment might take a little bit of a beating but that is what its for.

Sounds like a manufacturer. "Don't worry about maintenance, just beat it up an we'll sell you another one!" It has become the American way.

I watched a big guy easily flip a modified square nose with a 760. I've also seen an averaged sized guy with a carbon flatwater hull and an xscream 1400 who rode out about 1 out of every 10 attempts. Probably $30k difference in those two setups. I know several guys with surf skis and big motors that can ride 10 miles and still flatwater flip.
