Freestyle ET 967 Setup?

you dont have to grind that much dry fit and grind accordingly put pipe on and pull out powervalve by hand, where it touches grind then keep testing until clears! you will not break through into water jacket plenty room

We had to do a bit of grinding on our 967, it's a poor design on et's part imo, I understand art just wants you to run a laydown pipe, but sometimes that isn't an option. The b-pipe bolts straight up with my xscream, so it can be done.

I have one laying in my garage for sale. dunno were i got it THB. Dunno how much shipping to US would be if you would be interested

That would do the trick! I couldn't bring myself to grind the pipe just to ride for a month, so i am trying to liquidating some items to just buy a PFP and do it right. Part looks pretty simple, it might be cheaper for me to just fab it instead of shipping if I do end up running the B pipe.

Appreciate the offer though man.

Yeah, np man. I guess i can ship it as letter for 10usd. I think i paid 45 usd for the part, never used or bolted.
Yours for 35usd shipped (given that it ship as letter, sub 250gram) :)

Ok...did a lot of research and sifted through everything on I could find on the forums regarding pfp pipes and tuning them

I decided to pull the trigger on the PFP, it should be here Monday or Tuesday. Couldn't bring myself to grind the b-pipe out when i am just gonna sell it soon.

My questions are...

How is this going to effect my tuning?

After getting your guys feedback w/ the bpipe it is currently setup like this.

-8.5 Carbon Superfreak Badass
ET967 w/ lightended flywheel
Pump gas domes (not sure on compression yet)
MSD Enhancer
Torrent 148 setback mag w/ 9/15 skat trak
Dual taper bored 46's - 135m/125p w/ pewter spring and 2.0 needle/seat (had 2.3's in it before)
Unknown Carbon reeds
Power factor pipe (not sure where to put temp strips or what temps in what areas I am looking for)
2000' above sea level.

Really appreciate all your help, hopefully we will on the water weds to start tuning the carbs.

Ride update on this for you guys. Setup has changed a bit as I ran into various issues. These is the final specs other than I am going to change my 9/15 to a 11/17 I think.

-8.5 Carbon Superfreak Badass

MSD Enhancer

Torrent 148 setback mag with 9/15 skat trak

Dual 48 Full Spectrum w/ VF3 Reeds. 120 Mains, 130 pilots with 2.3 n/s and 17psi popoff (Per advice from Art at ET) I am 1/4 out on lows and 1/2 out on highs, but have not really tuned highs yet.

Power factor pipe

2000' above sea level.

Took a bit of tuning to get it dialed, but it is hitting hard now. Very happy with it currently and even with some cav it is hitting hard. Hoping changing to a 11/17 prop will solve my cav problems and give it more bottom end. I would say that is the only place in the power band I am not blown away.

If the prop doesn't do what I need I may try a stubby pump cone too as I have read that can help.

OK I looked, but I can't find a good explanation. What is the difference between a "pump gas" dome and, presumably a "race gas" dome?

Please be patient with me, I am just trying to learn...

P.S. Ms. Hieke, did you buy the ski?

Pump gas dome has just high enough compression to run on 91 pump gas without causing any engine damage from detonation. Race Gas domes have more compression so they need a higher octane than is available at the pump to avoid engine damage. More compression = more power.
