Very cool video. Please have a look at: http://www.faa.gov/about/initiatives/uas/reg/ There is quite a few FAA rules not followed in the video and could get you in trouble if the right people see it.

Also, might want to take a look through here to get answers on FAA questions and use of drones i.e. rc airplanes for photography.

My main hobby outside of jetskis is model aviation.

The video rocked.

p.s. just putting the info out there if others want to do this type of video. It's harmless for the most part but there is a lot of regulations in the works.

Could you sum up which regulations were not followed?
As I understand current regulations, none of the aircraft in the video would be considered drones or UAV's. They were not piloted with FPV only, rather by LOS. The endeavor does not seem to be commercial, either.
Simply RC aircraft with cameras on them. I'm genuinely curious.

Yes "regulations" is probably the wrong word. It's flying over highways, houses, windfarms etc that is the main problem as I see it. I get bad feelings when I see aerial vids overflying major public property.

Here is the current simple voluntary rule for model flying.

http://rgl.faa.gov/Regulatory_and_Guidance_Library/rgAdvisoryCircular.nsf/0/1acfc3f689769a56862569e70077c9cc/$FILE/ATTBJMAC/ac91-57.pdf

Please read through the page here to get some info on what is going on with UASs. Yes model aircraft are unmanned aerial systems. Anything that can sustain flight without a pilot on board is an unmanned aerial system. Right now it's a very fluid situation and luckily some legislation was put through to help protect models from being overly restricted.

Take a look at paragraph 13 in this article.
http://rgl.faa.gov/regulatory_and_guidance_library/rgOrders.nsf/0/8616600949dcc4b78625742c004c52b0/$FILE/1110.150.pdf

Again I'm just putting the info out there in a friendly manner that a lot of people are looking at model aircraft closely.
Luckily there is a lot of people out there who are fighting hard to keep model aircraft flying for us fun loving hobby guys. I fly everything from tiny rubberband powered models to big jets and everything in between.

You do some awesome editing good sir! Keep it up! Watch where you fly though, like some peeps said...could be dangerous, don't let that discourage you, just be aware of your surroundings!

One of my top 5 vids for 2012 for sure though! :notworthy:

This is the best video since the Australians R&R. Thanks again dud for sharing it. I am now buying gopro3 cuz of that vid :)

D.

P.S. I only wish if there was more standup stuff :)

Thank you. I just started flying models myself.
I stay far away from highways. I go to big open spaces without any people.
