I have been using a hitch hauler that accepts a 2" receiver. I generally only tow a trailer locally due to load concerns. I recently installed air bags which have been nice. I pull a 6,000 lb toy hauler. At 35psi the bags are much nicer than without. The truck rides level now. I use 15lbs with the hitch hauler and superjet. I should play with the numbers more but it has been a good start. I have the integrated bump stops so I can run 0psi unloaded so the ride is no stiffer than stock when not towing (althought 5psi is recommended). I think having bags with a hitch hauler and a trailer is a wise idea if going any significant distances.
I use a fat-tire bike portable pump I keep in my glove box to fill the bags for the superjet (15psi). It only takes about 10 pumps. I use a full sized bike pump with the toy hauler and it only takes about 10 pumps (35 psi). They are high quality pumps. I have a $13 tire gauge that has a *dynamic* bleader valve which makes setting the pressure much easier.
I modified this post from another thread because I have a different brand that hauls a trailer. I removed the brand so as not to thread dump.
I think the bags were around $250 and took around 3 hours to install (taking my sweet time)
My gauge is a little nicer than this one but I wanted to include a link to a gauge with a dynamic bleeder since it's super nice for adjusting the bags.
