Yeah if i come I'll need someone to get the ski to the water
And then figure where to park the car/trailer overnight.

PS: where do we poop?

l have to admit, the second question seems more important to me! Think l'll just dig a hole, seems cleaner! lol

But l'm in the same situation.l don't see a problem driving down the the beach.l have a stand for my ski but no cart. But figure several of you all will have a beach cart.Looks like it will be a great time.

How many folks do you think we will have at the ride?

Once we get your ski out to where your camping you won't need a beach cart, your ski will be no father than 20 feet from the water. Your driving a Subaru right? Some of the initial ruts in the sand on your way out might possibly be an issue for ground clearance, but I'm not 100% sure on it.

Hoping for between 50 and 100 people to be coming out, I'll be totally stoked if we have more than 100!

Hey Scott so we really won't be able to ride near where we park? Just curious cause my family may come and I'm sure they would want to watch......

Hey Wilkey, yes you can ride literally right next to your camping spot, but most of the wave action is about 200 yards away in the inlet and across at Masonboro. They could probably walk up the beach to the oceanside closer to the inlet and see some nice jumps.

I hate that the cost of Gas is making so many of my regular decisions.... I was thinking of taking Friday off work and buzzing down, till I remembered it would cost me 350 in gas alone.

I am up in the air as well, would like to go just to check out a different riding spot. Maybe we could get a few people together to split the cost of gas??

Scott your trucks not4x4? Have you ever had it on the north end? My Tacoma is also 2wd.. With 2 skis in the bed gas etc and lowered tire pressure I think I might be ok it also has a locker too.. n

Huh? Of course it's 4x4 lol. Z71 Avalanche baby! I can't guarantee anything with 4x2. Totally up too ya. I'm sure i'll be making several trips back and forth out to the camping area transporting skis for people. I'll be able to carry 3 skis at once.

haha i thought it was i swore i read on here that you said you had 2wd no worries... i would think with 2 skis in the bed and gas which would be well over 500lbs and dropped pressure in tires and a locker might be enough in the sand...

Im thinking of trying it too as long are you dont stop you might be ok. I told my friend to try it in 2wd mode in the 4runner and made it all the way until he stopped.

I have been there a few times and i think you need 4x4. After a day or two of people driving back and forth on the beach it will be rutted up pretty bad. Good luck and just dont stop. I will be there and i think i have about 12 to 14 riders coming in our group. It should be a good time.

I rode here at freeman park yesterday (am on vaca) and its such a nice area to ride! Extremely shallow in some parts however the beaches are really long and plenty of waves in the mouth
