Freestyle First attempts at a backy

Good write up...thanks.
I richened up the low end on my superjet that had it. I was happy it was only that. It didn't always do it, but when I'd jump, It'd rev up about 30% of the time while I'm in the air. My cousin also had the same problem on his superjet, just richened the low end. That's the first thing I'd recommend doing.

@JetPilot - My opinion on your q's - When I land on my back, the ski doesn't hit me. It kinda pushes you under a bit. It doesn't hurt at all. It's just not natural. You get used to it. When first starting flips, you'll be a bit overwhelmed with all of the things you have to do in short succession. Setup, U turn, proper approach, tiny bunny hope, let off throttle, pull trim, crouch down a bit, hit throttle, pull bars back, stand up, throw head back. It's now all muscle memory. I don't even think about it. My first few weeks was just getting used to being upside down and learning to throw my head back, learning to pull bars in, everything.

I'd recommend a boat wake first. Just so you get it done and don't feel like crap because you just spent some $$$ on a boat and can't backflip for :):):):). :^) About three weeks into it and I finally got one around. Not even close to pretty, but it worked.

It doesn't come quickly, well not for me at least. Bazinga. You'll get it.

I've never hit my face on the ski. Except once. Glad I was wearing it. I would have had an even more :):):):)ed up face.
