Freestyle First Ever Flat Water Double Backflip

I think after Lee's run it just kinda got in his head...... They had been racing to see who would do it first...... I liked that Kid last year. He was on fire and so nice when I met him.

Yeah he was just there to do that double. And when that didn't work out, it caused his ski not to run right and ruined his run. Even after the first attempt you could tell all he wanted to do was try it again. Great rider, if we would have seen him nail it first try I think he would have gone off after that.
But his set wakes were so off!! Idk what was up with that.

It's one thing to land a trick in practice, it's another to land it in a competition.
Was I impressed with Lees double...yes. Was I even more impressed that in 3 rounds he landed it 3 times first try...very much so!!
If it was me I'd want to land the same way Lee did, damn skis go so high now you have to come in nose first to save your back, knees, ankles and wrists.

The funniest part about anyone who says it wasn't complete, people in the surf don't do them except for what, 2 OG free riders and a 1 flat water guy a few years ago. Yet Lee does it on FLATWATER and because he didn't smash down flat landing it's not a double???

Still to this day his are the cleanest, rode away from doubles done...RESPECT!

Aaaaand what I think happened to Yamamoto is breaking the first rule in this new age freestyle...don't plan your routine.
If you mess up a trick in your planned routine it will screw with your head until your run is done. Unfortunately for him it was his first trick in the routine.

I personally never knew what I was gonna do until making my first setup wake
