First North American Trixstar S Build

Well here's a compilation of some riding yesterday. You can see in the first flip how fast this hull rotates, I really had to slow my flips down. I'm still a bit leery of hitting boat wakes ever since I got that nasty gash that cut a muscle in half on my forearm, so i hit the wake pretty slow. I know the vid is almost all flips, I'm not the greatest rider and flips are my bread and butter, this is the first year I started riding them out so I still love every time I do. I started trying spins and landed a 360 right away on this hull. I need to get together with @truerider411 soon and play some more trick HORSE with him so I'm forced to try new stuff instead of the stuff I'm comfortable with.

Check out the shimmer on the carbon in the sun, I love it! I know I should put a couple decals on it so people know what hull it is but I'm having a hard time with the idea of covering the beautiful carbon.

You are making them look easy on that hull! Is that with the 1200 or 701?

That's the 1200, 701's don't sound like that ;). I have to put new crank seals and get a new carb gasket for the 701 and then I'll throw it back in and flip it with that. Might have to wait until after WF tho, I need to bust my ass to get ready for that.

ps, they are super easy on this hull, the first flip I did I almost landed straight up and down on the tail. I can flip it off any little wave.

Picked up an industrial scale yesterday so I can weigh it.

246.3lbs RTR with my heavy billet Dasa1200 and about half a tank in my Ti5 tank (+/- 10L)

With the fuel tank out (resting on a jerry can so I didn't have to pull any fuel lines off) it weighs 234.7lb.

When I swap out my Titan pole for a carbon one I should shave an easy 5lbs. I also laid this one up a little heavier than was necessary because it was my first. I can easily go lighter and still have it be very durable.

Make room lol. Think about how many people you want "testing" your 1200? Would also be impressive to see a true 701 powered 220lb ski with carbon pole etc. Ported/piped motors are really common amongst people and if they could slip that type/their drivetrain into a slick hull for outrageous results, well there ya go, done deal no brainer imo.

I was never planning on bringing my 1200, just the new one I'm laying up with the new 10mm stroker motor. I'll try to bring one with a 701 in it too.

I gotcha man, just saying that a small bore, piped, possibly ported motor is very common among potential buyers. It would really give test riders an idea of what they could expect if they pulled the trigger. I'm sure if you started a pole as to which motor package people would prefer you bring (if you could only bring one) for testing to WF's a piped 81mm Yamaha motor would be the winner. I think you got a winner on your hands and you have sparked a lot of interest, capitalize on it. EDIT: If you don't have room to bring it then possibly ship it. Lots of people you know that will receive it and get it there for ya. Just a thought

Agreed on the 701. Maniac building that 701ish circus was awsome. I am one of of those people keeping my eyes peeled for what looks to be a perfect new home for my 701.
