You should just defoam now while u have the tray cut open and run your extra lines, some people like having the stock siphon bilge. So run a trim line and second cooling line and that way u won't have to pull ur good turf next year and double ur work

you were soo reading my mind.... i have been really thinking about it... especially since i noticed my foam is damp around my exhaust pipe. I have dual bilge pumps so i am not worried about the stock bilge. i will prob put in another spot for the trim cable and then eventually i can then run dual cooling. anyone know of any decent threads on where to cut the tray out at??? what dremel bit do you use?

i used a puddy knife (sharpened in my bench grinder) and then a circular wire brush on a drill to get in different places. i hate defoaming

i got my weldwood in for my turf this weekend. The guy sent me the green can (flame resistant). Should i send this stuff back to him in exchange for the stuff i ordered? or is the difference in quality between the two not worth the hassle? Thanks.

edit: Guy is sending me two quarts of the original. Told me to keep the other two cans "not worth the shipping and hassle to return".

I got my glass ordered. Should have footholds glassed in next weekend. All that is left on the engine is to order some cooling line and plugs. I hope i do not end up rushing this turf job. Will get some new pics up soon if my phone decides to let me upload onto here...

Do NOT use the green can for anything that will get wet - it WILL fail.
Looking good so far!

would this work for my cooling? View attachment 214334 Sorry cannot figure out how to rotate...

It could work but you are either putting too much water into your stinger or not enough into your pipe.

See attached. Note that the original image was also incorrect. Go by the new lines drawn overlay.

Yes, you can still do this even if you only have one line in from the pump, but it is intended for 2. You may need to put a restricter on the one pisser so that enough water gets sent to the pipe.

Also note I'm not familiar with your pipe or the pipe in the picture. I assumed the lines going into and leaving the head pipe were in the right places. I'm not sure which nipple is the correct in on this pipe or on your pipe. The rest of the layout is correct, just make sure you go to the right in on your pipe.

I guess it doesn't matter. I run my lines on my B-pipe opposite from the way they say I should. They say in top out bottom, but I go in bottom out top. As long as the water flows smoothly everywhere it's supposed to in your pipe.

mail.jpgThe black water line was already setup like this(the two on top connect to the Y fitting to the stinger...), so i figured, this is how it is suppose to go. I might just have to hit up the "big red z" and see what he says (i bought this pipe off of him)... thanks for the help

I got a LOT of the foam out, it wasn't soaked too far in from the bond line. ended up laying 5200 around the bond line around the back and hopefully that takes care of the leaking issue.

I was not planning to put stock bump gaurds back on and turf the whole thing (so i have a set of bump rails if anyone needs them). and i did not like that big ol lip sticking down off the back.IMAG0305.jpg So i cut it off.
Still wasnt super happy with it, so i cut off some moreIMAG0308.jpg

I am planning on laying some foam along what is left of the lip and glassing it all flush.
