Looking good Blessed, I left the lip on the rear of my tray like you have it in the second picture. Was going to wrap my turf around it, but not sure if the water pressure will pull it off. What color turf are you going to use? What pipe is that in there, I m sure you said but I missed it.

D@mn... though i had a pic of the back of my ski after it was glassed... here is a better pic of the back of the ski before glassing it. This week/weekend i will be glassing the nose up a bit too... just some reinforcement... not totally taking the lip away, dont really want to be getting constantly sprayed in the face with water when cruising around the lake... Will post that after it is glassed as well.
the red hose is for the dual cooling off my pump. didnt want water shooting right at the cable for my trim system... it bugged me.

Coz- i appreciate it... i am running a west coast customs pipe for a wet jet... havent acctually run it yet. Waiting for turf, and i am going with B/W snow camo. keep it simple.

Does anyone know what size the jets are in a stock Carb??? running this setup i would like to bump up my jet sizes. If i tear apart my carb is the size stamped on the jet???

Not the best pics but is where she stands... The nose i filled with The 'Great" stuff foam... tried fiberglassing over that, and it did not work at all. So i mixed up some resin with some filler and slapped that over the foam... the fiberglass should hold onto that a million times better now.

Yes the jets will be stamped. I think stock jets are 130 and 70. I am running 135 main 75 pilot 95g spring and 1.8 needle and seats on dual tapered bore 38's, head and B pipe.

if you are cheap like me I just replace the diaphram and clean and or replace the jets. I clean the gaskets and reuse them. A rebuild kit is 40 and diaphram 15.

foam under the back was just me trying to clean it up, smooth out the look. The nose had a crack in it, not too bad but i figured it needed some reinforcing. idk, now looking back i may have just made more work for myself. But now with the nose, it is really nice to grab onto. I shaped it so it feels like a hand hold under there, and now i am not worried about jagged fiberglass getting stuck in my fingers.

oh yeah, little update.... TRAY IS ALMOST DONE GETTING TURFED!!!i have the top of the rails to do yet, trim the turf on the back of the tray, and run turf on the sides. I really like the Camo pattern, it makes hiding your mistakes really hard to see...

On the rails? I layed the top first. Let it stick for about a minute. I did 3 coats on the hull and two on the turf just fyi. then i got a hair dryer and when i started to stick the rest of the turf down, i heated the turf up on the bend. The first piece i did i had an issue with the top of the rail coming back up. every couple minutes i would have to come back and pusha couple spots back down. Acctually did not have to use any clamps for the rails. The nose was deffinently a PITA! we will see how long it lasts.

Got it, that was interesting seeing as it was my first time turfing and i destroyed the stock mats getting them out. Would have just used those as a template. When i cut the turf to size, i left a generous amount for F-ups. Again did at least two coats of DAP on both surfaces. Stuck on the inside of the tray first, I did NOT put DAP on top of the gunwalls. so after the sides dried i could fold the turf over the top and cut it to size. Then when i got to the back corner, and you make that funky angle you got a bit of extra turf sticking up. I took my razor blade and from the starting point of where that turf was popping up, cut a straight line to the edge of the gunwall. i layed and glued down the top side of the gunwall. Now you would only have the back side of the gunwall to do. Again lay the turf ( with NO DAP) over and trim to size. With the turf on top of the gunwall glued down, just use the edge of that as a line where to trim off the extra turf for the rear gunwall.

Make sense???

on another note. Took the ski out yesterday after rebuilding the whole carb, dropped in a 140 main jet, only really had to tweak the pilot set screw and man she rips. Smoked my face on the pole dickin off :icon16:

Then a couple minutes later ripped my chin pad of doing a power sub, my FIRST power sub, poop....
