Super Jet First Superjet. Reinforcing, Defoaming, Ported 735

I get it from west marine, you can get it online too probably cheaper but its easier for me to just drive down the street.

I roll and tip the paint on and it comes out nice and smooth

Nice, it looks good, did you use a badger brush for the tipping?

I rolled and tipped white perfection on a JS550 and it was really good until the last coat. Somehow I got some bubbles on the nose, something only seen from up close though. I think i was getting impatient.

Its just a nice brush that tips well. I think I just needed to add some brushing thinner on my last coat, it didn't settle out and flow well enough. I didn't bother color sanding it out, was just a 550.

The paint did seam to be very durable for what it is. If I was to do it again I would clear it with a spraymax or eastwood 2k spray bomb. I did notice a little bit of sheen loss when fuel dribbled at my fuel fill.

tx i would look and see what type of surface prep wash they reccomend for the interlux, i forget the name i will check tomorow.

You need 202 solvent wash and 2333n reducer.

They ship for free over $50 in the US.

You just need pints(for the solvents) they go a long way, I still have tons of it.

I found that the cheap white foam rollers didn't work that great and the foam tended to flake off, really not fun picking those bastards off. I bought a more expensive purdy foam roller that worked well. When you tip you have to stay in the wet area or you will drag the paint off. It really is an art, and you need tons of patience. I frigged up and lost patience right at the end, it was going really nice up to that point.

I primed with the interlux epoxy primekote, it worked well.

Good luck.

I got one quart, so far i have two coats done and enough to do a third. Probably would have had enough to do four but i mixed up more than i needed for the first coat.

Did the second coat today.

First I wet sanded with 320 grit and rinsed with clean water. Then wiped down with interlux reducer 2333N. Wiped dry an let it air dry for a bit then wiped down with a tac cloth.

Second coat looks good i will get a pic up tomorow when it dries.

Got a TDR water box in today, as well as fuel filters, FCV, Bilge and bypass fittings, fuel line and some other small stuff. Also rebuilt and jetted my dual SBN44s last night.
Carb setup is a 110 main, 125 pilot, 95g spring and 2.3n&s per recommendation of Jetmaniac.

Also put an order in with Zach from PHP for one of his billet manifolds and a set of VForce 3s.
Getting more stuff from JM as well like driveshaft, drop in ready mid shaft assembly, starter, one of his coils, and some other components.
