Im using duplicolor paint shop. Was gonna use it on the whole thing. But I discovered this stuff isn't very strong. Im gonna run a cpt 771 cylinder porting. Lw flywheel. Advent ignition, type 4 dry pipe, solas mag.

you going to swith the powerplant and driveline over to the aqaubot or keep the setup in the SJ

have u been riding somthing in the mean time while you were buildin the SJ

Idk what im gonna do yet. The aquabot is going together for sure. My parents have a waterside that's just sitting prob snag that from theme and put in the rn. Might sell her or not. It sure will b hard. Ive had it since 96. No haven't been riding anything

and yeah man thats a long time to own a ski, or any toy for that matter, longer than some people own houses

how old were you when u picked that up, i would have only been 4 at the time lol

Got the top half primed and cleaned up a few small spots. Came out good overall, also taped off the tray and rails wherever I am laying turf. Hopefully I can get it to paint tomorrow or Tuesday.

Dropped ski off to get painted today and had paint matched to the black on my Wammer hood.
Went with a 2 stage base and clear.
Should have ski back this week to start turf and assembly.

Also put an order in with hydroturf, went with the 1" plush underpaid and 8mm pad for under footholds, and two sheets of black in red cut diamond mat and rail strips.

image.jpg Spent about 10 hours total on saturday and yesterday doing my turf. I did like a lot of guys suggested am bought it in sheets and just took my time and cut it to fit. The hardest part for me was the front foothold.

I cut pieces with extra turf and glued and wraped the area i was turfing. Then cut off any extra using an exacto knife that i heat up with a torch to get a smooth cut.

Underpad is 1" Plush in the high spots and i believe 8mm in the lower spots, shaved a nice contour in the give it a smooth transition.

Spent most of the day yesterday after I finished turfing the tray and got some other parts on.

X Scream hand pole and bracket are on. Took me a little while to get the steering stop on and ended up having to grind out a bit of metal that it was hitting for the pole to be able to slide back for adjustablility.

Also got my TDR waterbox in and Raddudes silicone exhaust hose.

Rebuilt midshaft amd housing came from jetmaniac and look like new. Thats installed with CF Billet coupler.

Dual 500GPH bilge pumps are in.

And my steering and trim cables are in and ran. Both run to the front of the ski in front of the waterbox and back up the pole.

Going to get the electrical done next and do a leak test on the motor as well
