You do realize that running added timing especially a total loss system that your engine will require a much richer jetting setting .a stock jetting spec will be very lean

It's easy to check reeds? lol. Took me 40 minutes just to take the carbs off when they were in the ski. There's zero space in there! I'll take a look though.

Ouch. I guess that's where aftermarket manifolds with speed plates are nice. I can have my carbs off in 2 min, literally. Doing the reeds sucked tho, I ended up moving the exhaust hose out of the way and then it wasn't bad.

B.E> if you got spark and compression ,and the ski runs. i'm going to say its your jetting combo .you added a ton of timing from stock down low ,but didn't add any fuel ,its probably falling on its face lean. let me guess ,its hard starting and it wont idle either ?if your coils were backwards it either would backfire of just wouldn't run, did you label them if not you should ? chipped reeds would give a lean condition but if this wasn't the case before its probably not now .if it were the brain you wouldn't have spark .

I can't get it to start at all now. :-/ Off to buy a starting charger.

Yeah. It started and ran. I haven't seen any activity on the front cylinder though. I am going to swap it with channel 3. I turned up my lows and highs to compensate too.

B.E.,its going to take more than the screws to make it correct .you might try , just to get to a point were it will start try a 2.0 n/s and a 95 gram spring and its going to need a larger pilot .when you say haven't seen any activity on the front cylinder ? you mean its running on one? or do you mean color ? also are those plugs being read by a plug chop ? or are you just taking them out and looking .

I found a good battery to turn from on my cousin's ski. I can't even get the ski to start now. I'm starting to feel a little defeated!

I switched the front cylinder and put it on the 3rd channel, and I'm still getting a great spark, no different than the 2nd channel I just took it off. It just wont start now though. Is it possible to over prime the carbs? I also found some fuel leaking from the pump on the master carb, maybe I am not getting fuel pressure to either carb now, though the return seems to still be spitting out.

I'm not quite sure where to look at this point. I have spark, I have air, I'm pretty sure I have fuel cause both plugs come up wet (no color on the one that has yet to fire). I can't even get it to start on the rear hole now.

Should the fuel line coming from the tank (I have clear lines) be completely full of fuel? Even if drip a little fuel into the cylinder it should fire once or twice even if it's not pulling anything from the carbs right?

Go back and verify your timing marks on the flywheel with TDC, then verify your timing using the LED, making sure cylinder 1 is firing at your intended advance, and then that cylinder 2 is firing 180 degrees from that.

Need some help here, read through all of this and think I got it but wanna make sure to set my timing.

Find TDC and mark on case where it lines up with flywheel TDC.
Turn flywheel to desired timing 32 degree in my case
Then I would adjust the pickup plate behind until the light on the brain comes on and that would be set properly?
