Surfriding First UK Tigercraft SV-1 Loki Customs build

The hood was trimmed to fit the hull today then was clamped and bonded with the bottom half, we used the same tent to keep it warm enough for the bonding agent to go off.

The hull is pretty much done now with just the graphics to put on the hood and a few other minor bits like making a bracket for the electric box to go and turfing the footholds. My Rickter will be stripped in the next week or so and some bits sent off to be powder coated before the hull is built. It's also a perfect time to check over my engine and re-new my electrics as it needs some attention before it becomes a problem.

Foothold brackets on and footholds have been turfed. I think the tiger footholds are larger than the rrp ninja's so I'll see how I get on with them.

Ok so have been busy last week up at Loki customs building the ski with John.
The ski went together over 2 days and we were both impressed how easy it was and how little shimming was needed.
The pump alignment is normally one of the hardest parts but that was done with the shoe on in no time at all with no shims required.
The motor again was easy with only one shim but I do use gp800 mounts shimmed down to fit.
We decided to mount the electric box on the right hand side of the hull behind the carb for easy access on the beach if required leaving space for a twin carb motor should I get one soon .

The finished product and we are so impressed with how it looked and all johns hard work paid off.
A lot of people have commented on how great this looks and I'm super happy to say it's mine and be the first sv-1 owner in the UK.
Sorry I didn't get any more build pictures but she went together super easy so didn't get chance to snap.

I tested the ski on the lake at Loki once it was built and apart from the starter motor dying it all went well.
Managed to hit the surf this weekend and have a good session in some decent sized surf.
I'm honestly blown away how much I enjoyed riding this ski in the surf....even doing fist pumps to myself ha.
I alway love surf riding and this ski breaks lose when you want it but turns great when you dig the rails in and carve it.
Flipping the ski was easy with it's length nearly the same as my evo but the ski is much lighter so that needs some getting used to.
