Other FLAME - ECU Connectivity; Help!

I bought a used Flame ignition and have been trying to check the curve settings before installation.
The red power light on the ECU comes on, and the software and drivers are installed correctly.
The Editor shows "no connection", with a red indicator blinking under "Com3".

I have tried changing the order of operations, i.e. open program first, plug in cable first, vice versa. The software appears to be installed correctly and in the right file location. Driver version is correct per ATP.

Any ideas?

Make sure you have the male programming lead plugged completly into the femal ecu connector... When properly seated you'll have no gap between the two.... Not having it seated caused the same issues for me with epic HX3

This is a bench test off ski, so no lanyard being used.
I have tried it both on desktop and laptop with same results.
Have tried both, but mostly curve A.
The lead is plugged all the way in.
All the wires on the ECU look good but I am thinking about cutting off the test terminal and soldering on a fresh one. The way it is made I can see that the solder connections are good but can't see if the female connector is sound inside. Any other ideas?

What threw me was how much effort it took to physically plug the programming Lead into the ecu's lead. Felt like I was gonna break it and took way more effort than I was expecting so I didn't get that last 1 or 2 mm needed to complete the connection..., but your good there

Might email Lisa @ Airtime if you haven't already, they respond pretty good and have always been helpful to me

Agreed @ Lisa, she has been patient and helpful. Unfortunately I think she is running out of ideas and I am going to have to mail it in unless I come up with something soon.

Tried it with 2.10 driver for 64bit Windows 7, still no worky.
The Editor says "no connection" with a blinking red dot. When I unplug the USB from the computer it says "No ports found" with solid dot.

Yes, my laptop has XP, no change. I am thinking about clipping off the female connector on the ECU and soldering on a new one. The test lead was bought new by a friend and the software seems to recognize when it is connected to the computer, it is just the ECU being plugged in doesn't seem recognized at all.
