Being locked in is a flatwater thing I think. In surf I like my footholds a little loose so I can move around the tray if I want. Don't want to kick in right just to pull my foot back out and move it somewhere else in the tray.

Does things to makes the do goods
I just redid my tray underpad and turf a couple weeks ago. Decided to only recess up to the arch of my foot so the ball of my foot gets sandwiched in well and the heel stays elevated and pressed into the lip. Too bad I havent been out to test it yet :/
o well, looks pretty on the stand

As cheesy as it sounds,?This is the first time I have actually felt like I was one with my ski.
I like to be LOCKED into the ski.

26mm top and bottom with PowerFactor blocks starting from the middle of my foot going past my heal. Then carved the heal stop out. Footstraps from the sides of the tray down to the bottom of the tray...LOCKED and dangerous, not for everyone

Wow that's crazy. But that's for an extreme freestyle ski too. How hard do you have to kick in? What size shoe are you?

Just one good kick and your locked, the bulge on the inside of your foot pops out on the other side of the strap and your heel drops down into the heel stop.
I wear size 11 VaporSpeed wrestling shoes

the only time you have to worry about getting your leg ripped off, is when you eat it going fast. if you're going slow and fall off, you just dont let go. your chances are better to get hurt, if your feet do slip out, than if they dont. i can still see where jaces ski took a bit out of my shin, when my feet came out.

So can you easily pull out if you lift your heel up?
