Footrocket Build

Well I finally received my new glass footrocket hull on Thursday and figured I would make a thread of my progress and any questions I have while building. First off I purchased the hull through Nick Barton. The service I received was excellent, he answered all questions I had asked within the same day. He was always good at keeping me updated on the progress and other information.
Onto the plans. This build will probably take over a month with my colorado trip coming up in Feb. I plan to put my 701 in it for now. I will be running a bpipe, h2o designs waterbox, 144 mag, thrust trim, stock tank, rrp pole, steering, etc. pretty much everything that was on my chan.

Here is a few pictures

Looks good dude! Glad to see you getting going in it! Good time of the year, plenty of time to get it built before the warm weather

I love the heel catches on the holds. Shouldnt have to worry about my feet coming out on this one.
Should be a lot less of these

The heel catches are awesome!! I just run one on my right foot and one without the heel catch on the left any my feet never, ever slip out. No need to kick in either, just slide your foot in, swing your heel out and you're locked in. I know they look dangerous, but your foot comes out easily too, I've never had my foot get stuck in them.

Let me know if you need any help with the build, mine went together very easily there are just a couple little things you have to address.

hell yeah bro.... good choice. I love my foot rocket, and the foot holds are great. It's nice just stepping into them to flip - I hate kicking in to other footholds.

You ever ride a FR before? you're gonna love it. and they are bullet proof. I've hit bottom a few times doing flips in less than 3' of water... barely a scratch and not one crack anywhere.

can't wait to see your finished ski.

Good luck with the build, I've just finished mine, it's taken a while but hopefully maiden voyage next weekend :) can't wait. Will get a build thread and some pics up soon.
If you need any help or advice just shout.

Thanks guys!
So does anyone have any tips for mounting the hood latch and hood hooks to get a tight fit? Last time I mounted one it started out tight then after a while when the hood seal compressed it got a bit loose.

Attach a brap strap and crank it down hard with the hood seal already fitted then mark out for the holes for the hood hooks and latches

Thanks that is a good idea. Lol I think the hood latch was the worst part of my past build. I think I spent an hour measuring and making sure it was level and aligned and measuring again and again before I drilled

We're not just in a club,we're in an army ;)
I'm in the Navy and competed against Army for four years, so I have a little trouble saying I'm in any sort of army…
I don't run the "brap strap" Just a stock style hood latch. Cold Fusion prongs, Blowsion hooks, and stock latch with the Blowsion billet upper piece. The Cold Fusion prongs are adjustable, so if you set them up so they're tight on the loosest side of their adjustment, you can always tighten them a little more. The limiting factor I found though was how the hood is build. There's a very narrow area to bolt the prongs too between the bottom lip and where the top of the hood flattens out inside. Pretty much forces you to put the prongs in only one spot, at least on my hood.
