I love my type 4. and couple of people rode my ski were suprised about my setup considering its only bolt ons with stock 38s,
I had the problem with the coupler but I replaced it with (twice as thick) marine exhaust hose and its been fine for 4 years now (I did the same for my buddy's ski, I have two buddies with dry type 4s).
Almost zero maintenance, I am running jet and Jetworks restrictor and baffle-free waterbox. I compared it to another b-piped rn with similar setup and preffered my marginally less bottom but nicer mid/top end.
if you pull the head all lot, yes its more work but my opinion well worth it. Also run in without water injection, I haven't run it with but whomever I talked to that tried both no injection was preffered and no extra setting up.
