I can't say that I've done a build. A little here, and a little there.....
Bought 2 sj's (2004's) in Sept 2003. My wife's remains bone stock except for a b-pipe, primer kit and a jet-trim chinpad.

83mm Pro X pistons (Nuklear6)
Boring and decking (Nuklear6)
Ported: Cases, cylinder, exhaust mani, head pipe, intake mani.
Modified dome squish.
Kawi 750 pin bearings
1.5 needle valves
b-pipe w/mod chamber

Pro Design cool head, girdled, 185 psi (removed)
Msd enhancer
Shortened 2.5" stock pole
Wamiltons shortened turn plate (removed)
Riva HD 0-degree bars (removed)

automotive freeze plugs temporarily blocking original foam fill holes.(removed)

Bilge broke. Replaced 360 rule w/500 rule. Stock bilge still operational
Installed 9/15 Hooker impellor (from AtomicPunk)...Skat going to impros
Installed 85.5mm bored nozzle (jetmaniac/#zero)
New pump seal (riva)
Back to stock pump shoe (riva)broke(Fred)
Removed Hooker. Re-installed Skat 12/17
Removed pro-design head. Installed ADA w/35cc domes (thrust innovations)
New stock impeller housing/wear ring (greater yamaha)
12/17 skat swirl refurbished at impros
Jetmaniac/JSS modded coil/wires
Jetmaniac/#Zero lightened flywheel
Installed new power cables (all)
OCD Solutions military bilge switch
Installed New OEM solenoid (greater yamaha)
Nearly-new mid-shaft bearings and seal (Aircraftsalz) another in from Sanoman.
Extra layer of turf installed in foothold instep...(25mm pad squishes over time)
Replaced UMI bearing set-up with OCD Solutions set-up via Jetmaniac. (removed)
New locking/threaded shaft collar via McMaster Carr. (removed)
Blowsion billet fuel cap via Sanoman!
Installed Freestyle 650 stubby pump cone (removed. Back to stock)
Cold Fusion steering system (jetmaniac)
Blowsion "fat in the middle" straight bars (jetmaniac)
Carter B Tubbies. Installed by Carter B.

Slightly modded hull. Cut off rear brakes.

Paint by the Hastings Guys. Unknown color. (locals)
New OEM start/stop/kill switch 7/23/16 via (Jetmaniac)
All new power cables 8/2016

Been struggling with tuning for months and months. Finally gave up and sent it to Jetmaniac & Blue.
Diagnosis= air leak. It's getting torn down & fixed.
When my stock cdi was going bad, there was a boatload of backfiring.

Gonna wait to post pics. The hull is/never was/won't be attractive. I'm not going for "pretty"

But The guy doing the motor work deserves better pics than I currently have.

Hope you make it down south this weekend Dan , if your ski isn't finnished you can take mine for a spin , I've got a Jetmaniac/Blue 710 motor that I think is going to be a great surf motor if it runs anything like Chris's.

decals rule. If you don't want 'em, I'll take 'em! (my only requirement is that they be stickey on at least one side)

Manny will appreciate the electronics. We're running low on toys for him cause Lisa is working so much lately, she doesn't have time for dumpster diving!

(I felt kinda funny doing a "my-ski" thread cause I've been on the x so long.....and my ski is not very impressive. what the hell!)

There's a good chance that it's done right now. He's gonna water test and fine tune tommorrow.

He seems like a great guy. Knows his stuff. I look forward to meeting him. Thanx to Jetmaniac & Josh for putting us in touch!

O.k....There's no surf. None in the near future. I'm cavatating like crazy due to a bad pump seal (my own fault) and the OD of my skat is worn pretty badly.(probably my fault too). But the motor's running like a champ!

Anyway, I'm making some changes.
85.5mm bored nozzle
9/15 hooker
Back to stock ride plate
ADA head w/ 33cc domes.
and a new pump seal...duh.

The impellor is so that I can have 2. So one can be in rehab and I can still ride.

Should all be done in the next 2 weeks. I've had no days off since July 1st and won't have any til August. A little each eve is all I can do.
