I've not really missed any riding due to the ski ..... had a temp prop in there for a while.
I guess there will always be something more to do, but for now, it's done.

Put it all together monday.
Still gotta pull the e-box for a new pos cable to the battery...but the repair is working for now.

No waves.

And remember; after-work rides are soon coming to a close!

Replaced the pos cable e-box to battery last night. Also got rid of the heat sensor while the box was out.

It was nothing important. Just was gonna ask whether the heat sensor wires should be connected or not. Found the answer in an old thread.

Made a temporary cable from battery neg to flywheel cover.

Solved all starting problems, issues, noises.

Obviously, my ground cable is bad.

But the jumper is not 1/2 assed. It's a good soldered cable.

I'm gonna ride this weekend as is unless somebody says it's not a good idea!

I was talking about my myself.....not the ski. lol

Installed the JSS modded coil & wires. That part was easy. I figured it was a good time to replace all 3 major power cables. That was no fun. Even with the pipe chamber and fuel tank out.....
I left the head pipe & manifold on. What a PIA.
A women would have had no problem......they are used to using tools in the mirror! lol.

I chose to run the ground cable up the carb side. The original was just about worn thru from the pipe.

Gonna put the lightened flywheel in b4 the weekend. (I'll appreciate any tips on that job!) Just seems like a good time to do it. It's setting there, the tank and chamber are out...

l used a battery pack impact gun to remove the last couple of flywheels.Worked great! You don't have to own one,just borrow. X2frank maybe?

Flywheel is in. The dewalt cordless impact would not remove the bolt. Used Frank's air impact.

Still gotta seal everything up and put the tank & pipe chamber back in, but should be ready for a Turkey morning ride.

I looked up the torque spec for the flywheel bolt....20 ft. lbs.! I went a bit further than that, but was surprised. (expected something around 70)
Not that hard a job.
