Those db starters didn't last @Gliderskier and I a week. I found 2 oem freshwater starters on here for 80$.

Installed shiny-new start/stop/kill switch this morning. Ordered it from Jetmaniac at 3 PM yesterday, had it in my hand at 10 AM. WOW!
BTW: DB starter working like a champ, as per usual, salt water and all... lol.

You all should have fun with this. I admit that I did hesitate to post, due to previous statements, but fair is fair so here ya go:
DB starter locked up. 3 weekends out of it.
Found a remanufactured one at a local automotive-electric shop. ( A&R Electric ) . Replaced all power cables while installing just because they were aging.
Gave the bad starter to a friend that has a shop. I don't know much about the inner workings of a starter but he fixed it. He said that they used a snap ring or retaining ring where a washer should have been used. The snap ring broke and the pieces caused the lock-up. It will be a spare.
