Id say get a b pipe first, then save up for a hull... once you have a hull and dont want to put a 701 in it then get a tpe964, ignition, 46s, solas pump, 14/19 impeller, intake manifold, etc. this MIGHT be able to get you around.. no such thing as a cheap flatwater boat, but that's a good start. A lot of people can give you feedback on that exact setup.

Or sell your whole set up, and buy a USED aftermarket ski with a 701 bpipe...etc... you can always sell that motor to help finance a bigger one later.

Thats like telling someone who wants to play guitar but has a stand up bass to mod the stand up bass and stick with that for a few years. Screw that , go buy a freeride/freestyle hull and enjoy the learning prosses.

Your analogy is off. A stand up bass vs a guitar would work for a guy on a fzr wanting to start doing flatwater freestyle.

We're telling a guy with an acoustic guitar who want to be a rock star to buy an entry level amp and start playing some covers before he drops huge cash on a concert rig.

IDK, I thought I was pretty close . I think yours is farther off cause you can still be a rock star with an acoustic guitar but you cant play guitar on a bass just like you cant flatwaterflip a sj.
