just relocate the e-box to the front of the motor. thats how lenzi and some rrp's i've seen have it mounted.

The drive is original so the bulkhead is the same distance from the engine,
It looks to be farther back due to the SXR topdeck being a different design.
I think I will keep the Elec box in the same location. I an working on the two fuel cells that will be mounted through the bulkhead either side of the drive shaft. the are both about 3 ltrs so 6 in total, The cells will be on the Cof G of the ski so the varying weight will not affect the handling.
I decided to leave the pump to engine distance the same so the drive is all SJ, and move the fuel back to have the same affect . If it does not work so well I can remove the cells blank off the holes ( with carbon plates of course) and install my light weigh tank up front!
I plan to mount the battery in the centre in front of the engine.
P.S. Haggis the weather really helps a lot , I repaired and sprayed cars in various unheated workshops for 25 yrs in the uk . It is much easier to get motivated when its so nice and warm!
Maybe you should bring your ski here and we could finish them together. lol

I have almost reached the stage of foaming the hull and was wondering if anyone had tried lining the areas to be foamed with large plastic bags ,( The sort that are used when vacuum bagging small parts) and filling them with expanding foam and sealing them with a bag sealer?
This would keep the water away from the foam altogether and the foam would also give support to the ski without the distortion that occurs when the foam shrinks.
Anther idea was to drill a 3" hole in the bulkhead and fill the complete rear of the ski with polystyrene balls allow to settle / agitate down then force in another 10 or 15 % to ensure they are tight then seal the hole with a cover.
Both these ideas would also use drains in the back.
