With the 10mm i was told full comp motor witch will see a breakdown every 25-30 gal of fuel.

Hi,

we run 10mm in our ML engines(950something ccm). Mine with a single 49 carb, billet cylinder, modified and epoxy filled crankcase. It is built to be a reliable, strong motor, not a full competion motor. In my first year I rode 70 hours on it and in the winter we had a look at the pistons/cylinder which looked very clean. The second year I had bad luck. I had water in the engine twice and so I only had about 10 hours when the pistons broke, also breaking some nice little holes in the bottom of the crankcase. Now it's the third year, pistons and bore are from last year with about 40 hours on it.

You can ride a stroker with a bit less power but therefore reliable if you adjust it the way you want it.

Back on topic..... What normally goes first on these mtrs: Cranks, cylinders, rings, pistons, etc or PV tolerances? How many hours does a PV casting or boring last? Are they (the PV's) sleeved or simply bored into the aluminium?

Pistons/rings will always wear the most on a two stroke.

DASA/Lamey cylinders(or any other cylinder really), shouldn't "wear out".
Our cylinders are now billet not cast. The cylinder sleeves are iron and they are replaceable.
