It's easy, don't go to Mexico!
Silly question here. How do you register a trailer in state that doesn't require it for trailers under X length. In Kansas trailers have to be X long before you register them or get paperwork/title/tags. This was an issue that cost me some $ in Mexico . . . I said "Registration isn't required in Kansas. (in spanish) He said "You're not in Kansas." $150 later we we were on the road.
Right. I suppose it's easy not to get VD also - just don't #uc<. Or to avoid a hangover - just don't drink. Or to never get in a car wreck - just don't drive or ride in a car. Really though, Um, I haven't decided to limit myself by fear of Mexico or Canada yet so . . . anybody got anything else?
Yes.
Each person will need their original birth certificate-NO COPIES! (just ask Gainera2582 about that :cool2: )
Also each person will need their drivers licence, and if they arent old enough some other form of ID.
If your bringing a ski across make sure you have the registration for the ski, and the registration for the trailer with you and ready to show.
If you're under 18 and not with parents, it's a good idea to have a note from your parents saying where you are going and when you will be returning. Although I never had a problem with that.
Have all that stuff ready to show when you get to the border. If you go earlier on Saturday Morning, chances are you will get across in no time, without even a line to wait in. Coming across in the evening will be a different story though...
has anyone considered camping? Sterling state park is just up the beach from the hot hole and you can get some sites right on the water. you can even beach your skis, I was there earlier this summer and it was a pretty nice place.
