Front sponsons on the FX-1 ?

It would be just a gap filler assuming that the instructions say that the bolts are a sufficient mechanical hold. Again, merely stoked speculation on my part . . .
I would use the bostik adhesive blowsion sells for their original tubbie installation...fairly easy to blend in and it stays flexible so its not prone to cracking....that's what Ive always used...it's allot of body work to get them to look good when you glass them on...

Thanks, @wydopen that stuff is magic!

Product overview
940A FS is recommended for use in bonding and sealing applications, particularly where permanent elastic bonding between surfaces is required. It can be used above and below the waterline. Its outstanding adhesion and UV resistance properties target this product for sealing deck hardware, through-hull fittings, rub-rails and portholes applications. 940A FS combines the adhesion/mechanical properties of a urethane, plus the flexibility and UV resistance of a silicone. 940A FS provides optimum bonding of aluminum, steel, fiberglass, EPDM rubber or PVC, typically without use of a primer. It maintains elasticity within temperature range of -40°F to 212°F (-40°C to 100°C).

High performance, Bostik Marine 940A Fast Set is a rapidly, moisture-curing; fast-skinning; one-component; hybrid polymer adhesive/sealant based upon Silyl Modified Polymer (SMP). 940A FS is specifically formulated to withstand harsh marine environments. It possesses UV resistance (non-yellowing); is sandable and paintable. It exhibits superior adhesion to porous and nonporous surfaces in most applications without the use of a primer, a feature not typically found in a traditional adhesive/sealant. 940A FS does not in-gas and has outstanding high and low temperature resistance. It is solventless and isocyanate free resulting in a product that is both environmentally and user friendly.

I have Tom21 sponsons on my fx1 and they are great. I mounted them 1/4 inch above the bottom edge of the hull. It got rid of the chine walk and the high speed slide that throws you off at 50mph. It also carves better and doesnt jump straight up like it did before. I have a set of the pro watercraft sponsons for my superjet and they are way thinner than the tom21 tubbies are so I dont think they would do as much to help the problems the fx1 has. I also have a set of blowsion tubbie 2s. After I got them I should have sent them back the quality is so poor. I wouldnt mount them on anything.
Did you lose some top end speed after putting the Sponsons?
I've heard somewhere that the Jet slows down and loses a lot of top end speed....I don't know what's true about it.
Regards

Nothing changed as far as top speed it still can get a little funky on glass smooth water but is real stable with any kind of chop on the water. Still runs low 50's and accelerates just the same.

Has anyone noticed there fx1 having trouble sliding and such with the front tubs. I got a set of tom21’s I’m contemplating putting on my fx1. But I don’t wanna lose my sliding ability.

No it will not do that, I have rear sponsons and front sponsons on my fx and its awesome, It holds the nose up in turns and make a massive difference

Apparently these are the @tom21 sponsons. Seem pretty impressive. @Big Kahuna do you have any suggestions on how to get ahold of @tom21 or where I can buy his sponsons?
