Sick boat, Froster! Hey do those bars have a little bend to them???? I can't handle my straight bars anymore (killing my wrists) and those might solve my problem. Will they fit in a standard straight bar steering system?

yup, 4 degree bend and wider than normal... they are perfect. I had the same problem. they are actually UMI bars for a seadoo XP... got them on ebay last year for like $30... I am running them on a UMI bearing system with an XMW short plate straight bar set up.

well, returned from Europe very late Saturday night. Got up super early Sunday and finished my ski... rode yesterday - first ride of the season. Hull handled as it did last year, as expected since I did not change anything. However, the new DASA 850PV was awesome. I had the carb jetting pretty well set before I left the shop and once in the water all I needed to adjust was the idle. It'll take a bit to get used to the different power band from my old motor to this one, but I'm pretty impressed so far.

ran 3/4 of a tank through it and did a couple of flat water barrel rolls - although I am trying to not go too nuts until she's broken in... one full tank should be enough = )

I'm thinking Total Loss and Power Factor pipe next...

One issue I do have, which was a problem late last year but I never had time to fix - I have an intermittant starting problem. every few starts it will not turn over, just click or nothing at all. I thought it was a starter replay because of the clicking in the ebox, and I've replace the starter relay 3 times. New start stop switch etc. My ebox if from an old WRIII so I'm wondering if maybe there just an issue with the wire harness... really strange. Any thoughts?

clean the pins on the white connector for the start circuit near the ebox. I have had a lot of em doing that lately. pull the pins, polish em up and cover with a little di-electric grease.

The other problem I have been having is a dirt buildup at both sides of the main fuse. Same process there, clean and re-install.

cool, thanks Bruce... I'll do that today after work and see how it goes. the two things that strike me as really strange is that,

1. it only seems to happen after I've been under water and gotten water in the hull
2. when it does happen, if I pull the fuse and put it back in, it seems to clear the problem

Rode this thing Sat and the jetting is way better than mine was up top, much more hit and cleaner all around. Now get that thing bullet proffed and lets ride

Very clean build but ^ that is discouraging. Were those the "recreational" or "race" urethane hardness? I think RHASS will replace those for free. Also when you switched back to OEM mounts did you use Superjet or GP800's?

Wow! I thought those were unbreakable!!

The OEM GP mounts seem to work very well for me...I would stick with those
BTW, great looking ski Frosty! :)

Thanks Steve... too bad she's still a superjet. Heavily reinforced and it's already cracking. I'm pretty sure I will be on a new AM hull for next season.
