I see a lot of posts about fuel line on here, I mostly use Dayco or Gates 1/4" line on the Seadoos I work on, and it works on some Kawasakis as well, I used to buy it in 250 ft rolls I used so much of it but that has calmed down in recent years.

Most standups and Yamaha's use 3/16 fuel line, I refuse to use the fuellinesbiz stuff because you pretty much only get a year or two out of it plus I have seen it turn to crap and clog everything up before, the fuel line from Thrust is really nice but very expensive if you are talking sitdowns which can use in excess of 20 ft per ski, I have used old Yamaha vent lines on some skis where I only needed to replace a few sections, it is exactly the same line as the fuel line but fuel has never been run through it so it's like new.

Recently I ran across this 3/16" fuel line from Emgo, they mostly make motorcycle parts and most bikes and ATV's use 3/16: fuel lines.

I am going to use it on some 701 Waveventures I am working on that have been sitting for six years and see how it goes, the fuel lines on these two skis are stock Yamaha lines but they hard as a brick, the Emgo lines look really good and Emgo is usually fairly high quality stuff, they have been in business for many years. Product link below, I will let you know how it goes. It's like $25 a roll with free shipping.

Also. Ever since I got into aviation. I got away from hose clamps. I safety wire my fuel lines now with stainless wire. It seems to work ALOT better. It's actually less hassle.

The tygon I refer to is a off white color. It was engineered to be translucent so a person can see fuel issues easier. Give it a shot. Its the best line out there.

Fwiw. This is NOT the bright yellow tygon line that you see at tractor supply or on weed eaters.
Will you please provide 1+ known-good places to buy this stuff, saving us all from the blind search-and-hope. Also “Amazon” doesn’t count, IMHO.

I've seen a 5-8 year lifespan with the 1/4" Motion Pro fuel line that I've used forever.....even with ethanol fuel. I buy the blue color stuff in 50ft rolls, it's on my personal machines as well.

OOPS, sorry, it's Parts Unlimited branded.

Im sorry to hear that you got into aviation!
Hey now... If anything humbles a gearhead/boat guy, it's aviation... Then if you have a wife and a child, might as well forget the $300K Cubcrafter plane to get a $100 hamburger... Or just build a Rickter you found on the X and realize that skis don't require much licensing/govt approval... AND still dump a ton of money into the water. I regret nothing.

Adding to my aviation rant... I still bought the black OEM Yamaha lines from @JetManiac. Stuff wears like iron, and I stand by my freeride abilities which is drinking beer, floundering around in the surf, and drinking more beer. I build stuff, just don't have time to ride it.

This is the stuff on all my skis, bikes, snowmobiles, and lawnmower.

It is name brand tygon. It is excellent. I will never use another fuel line. It stays supple, seals good on fittings, and is clear so you can visually see any fuel flow issues.

I have been using this inside my fuel tanks for a couple years now. It swells but I wrap it with stainless wire or hose clamp and so far so good.

This link doesn’t say it’s tygon. Also, the 1/4”tygon that mcmaster carries is yellow. Am I missing something here?

Edit: perhaps “Versilon” is a subset of “Tygon”?

Edit edit: that specific part number says it’s for air use. “Polyurethane tubing is clear, so you can easily monitor flow through the line. Polyurethane tubing that is for use with air is ester based, so it should not be used with water or in humid environments.”

Edit^3: The mcmaster table says that part number is for “air and water”, but has the water warning in the description. This is what I find so frustrating about chemically specific products. It’s a black hole of uncertainty.

I agree with what you're saying. We were looking into this and it comes stamped as C-210-A.

St. Gobain is the mfr. and this is what they have to say about C-210-A: https://www.ics.saint-gobain.com/tubing/thermoplastic-elastomer-flexible-tubing/versilon-c-210-a

"It also offers exceptional resistance to oils, greases, fuels, and many other chemicals. This tubing is plasticizer-free and remains flexible even when cycled through extreme temperatures. It resists weathering and can be safely used in temperatures ranging from -100°F (-73°C) to 175°F (79°C)."

I think this is a McMaster problem. That exact part number is what I got from my orders and currently run on all my skis.

This dude is just a old ass never was been. Lol. Never post pics. Never post anything he's done besides words. Never flipped. Never looped. Never barrel rolled. Never gone over 60 on a ski. Just all talk. Blah blah blah
Well maybe, maybe not. At least I CAN speak!
