Full Spec Carbs Vs. Dasa Carbs

Looking to get some feed back between Full Spec and Dasa 48mm carbs. Has any one ran both carbs and have any input on power difference's? Who is running the Dasa carbs and what are your thoughts on them? Just doesn't seem like there is much info out there on the Dasa carbs.

Thanks

Spend the money and buy Full Specs. You cannot beat them

l just recently was made a believer.Never thought l would spend that much on carbs, but they are an awesome upgrade!

I have ridden a motor with Dasa carbs and it hits hard. I have full specs on my 10mm right now but have a set of Dasa carbs on the way so I'll be able to let you know soon.

Soon I will be. I know of one guy that did and he kept the Dasa's on it. Don't get me wrong, FS's are awesome carbs, I think it all boils down to personal preference.

We have tested both on the TPE engines. The Full Specs have an ever so slight (most would never notice) advantage, but they are more expensive. Each carb is handmade by Ed and tested before shipping. His attention to detail is part of the reason for the price difference.
That said, we have been very happy with the Dasa carbs, and feel they make a great carb set for anyone that can't spend Full Spec money. These are the only two we recommend on our engine packages as of right now, barring economy stock 46s.
You really can't go wrong either way ;)

If anyone has a set of old Riva Powerbombs you have a set of DASA carbs in your hands...they are nearlyidentical. We tested between Novi, Riva/DASA, and Full Spec on the same Race gas/total loss/PFP billet 898 and ski and liked them in that respective order. Like Phil said, you really are splitting hairs between the best carbs. They all work great. To be fair and forthcoming for the Full Specs we did have a set of their new freestyle 49's which have a large venture restrictor above the 49mm butterfly to help boost signal. This necks the 49's down to somewhere near a 45mm. You could feel this carb did a better, cleaner job metering fuel at low throttle levels than the other two carbs but also didn't deliver as much air as the other straight through 48mm carbs did at WOT. Again, anyone may find their particular engine setup may prefer a particular carb this is just what we found on our fw setup.

There is no information on ANY carbs. All you get is a name and a number, maybe a little BS along with it.

When talking to guys that recommend carbs, consider which guys are were hooked up. You're likely to get a bias opinion..

I did a back to back test on the same setup, only diff were the carbs (with exact same jetting specs) Riva power bombs 48 and Full spectrums 49. If it were a blind test, i would not be able to guess which one were rivas and which ones were full spectrums. Im running the Full Spectrums 49 now, but if i were to buy new ones, FS, Novi, Riva PB or Dasa. I would go with the ones that made the best offer. You cant go wrong.

FYI, there are differences between the older Powerbombs and the newer DASA carbs.
