Yes you can add a second coat within a copule of hours without sanding,this gives a chemical bond,after that you need to sand the first coat and you get a mechanical bond,thats the difference.Gelcoat will not surface harden under exposure to air,thats where the wax of PVA comes in,it closes the surface to the prescense of air so the gelcoat will cure properly.

thx wedo...i just looked at ur location. i work with a girl who's family has a house on lake martin. it was way down last year, per her. how's it looking this year? she usually makes a weekend trip with some of us every year. if mcdog or i go we could look u up for a ride.

We have three feet to go to reach full pool but she's coming up fast,looks like it will be off the hook this year and I will actually make some money ,which means look out for some more ski builds coming up shortly!!!!!!!!!!!!
